  1. That's true, although as fans we'll have our opinions on the music as well. Coldplay seems to be happy doing their own thing, but I don't think any of us are wrong for wanting them to do what each of us want them to do. You can't please everybody, but for much of their career they could please most of us. I did mean the EL version - I do not know if there is an earlier one and I certainly haven't heard it if it does exist.
  2. Perhaps Coldplay (the album) will be a big b-side compilation of sorts. It does mean that we may never hear the EL version of Weirdo for example. Both that and The Race, based on the leaks, have been ruined and I desperately hope they go back to how they were.
  3. Could the songs from A Sky Full of Stars EP be considered b-sides? On another note I listened to the remix. I didn't like it.
  4. All My Love in that soundcheck reminds me a bit of the climax of Sometimes You Can't Make it On Your Own by U2, although I expect once we get a better quality version it'll sound nothing like it. 😀
  5. I see the same issue with FLIFIL as a concert closer. My favourite closing song is Up&Up, but I think if they performed the full version of Coloratura more frequently as a closer that would take the cake. I doubt FLIFIL would be much better as an opener either.
  6. I think Aeterna is probably Moon Music's Infinity Sign equivalent. I do like Infinity Sign but Aeterna is without a doubt the better song. Has the rainbow song been leaked on performed live?
  7. Yep, I meant to say it was We Pray but I got confused while writing it.
  8. I agree that this album so far is looking better than MOTS. As much as I like Feels Like I'm Falling in Love, I think in the context of the album it will blend in to the background a bit. A bit of a nothing song when compared to the rest. I think most Coldplay albums have that sort of song though. Good Feelings sounds great, FLIFIL isn't bad, I really like Aeterna, All My Love is okay... Although assuming the Glastonbury version is how it'll be on the album, it'll be another song added to the (admittedly small) list of Coldplay songs that I actively avoid listening to.
  9. Coldplay Soundchecking New Song Singapore January 30/2024 - YouTube Is that I am a Mountain?
  10. Lhuna isn't a leak, it was a single recorded with Kylie Minogue that was released in 2008, although it had a very limited release. It used to be on iTunes but it's long gone, but it is still possible to get high quality versions of it if you ask around. I uploaded the song to my own YouTube channel, which as far as I'm aware is the highest quality version on the site. The song is strikingly similar to Skyfall by Adele; I even made a version of the film's intro to use Lhuna and it's quite a good fit.
  11. I did that a few weeks ago, assembling a track list out of the leaks and demos we've had lately. Mine isn't an alternate Moon Music track list though, it would be a separate album. I've also thrown in Lhuna to give it a proper release, and The Race would probably be a new version combining elements of the main leaked versions to create a 'definitive' version. I also gave Broken and Everyday Life subtitles like Miracles (Someone Special) to help differentiate them from the EL versions.
  12. I'm not really interested in the leaks anymore, as the most interesting ones have already been leaked. At this point we're mainly getting new snippets of songs that'll be released by the end of the year anyway. Unless we get some major new leaks like Life is Beautiful, I won't have much to be interested by.
  13. Yes, I think it is. It has a lot of energy, I just hope that the studio mix keeps that energy.
  14. Perhaps the relatively poor performance of Feels Like I'm Falling in Love could drive them to release the song slightly earlier than usual?
  15. Very different to the original leaked version. Much better as well. Assuming it's going to be the second single, it's a good thing Feels Like I'm Falling in Love came out first, because then we'd have a great lead single and a comparatively worse second one.
  16. To be honest I don't think that would be a bad thing. A Sky Full of Stars was surrounded by two quite sad and simple songs but worked very well in context (at least in my opinion), and other stark changes like that can do well for albums to keep them interesting. I'd put Coloratura as one of these, but I don't really think of it that way as Infinity Sign does a good job of bridging My Universe and Coloratura. I like to consider Infinity Sign the same way I think of MMIX and A Hopeful Transmission, just longer and worth listening to on its own too.
  17. I haven't listened to the Nigel Rogers version, how different is it to the previously leaked version?
  18. We don't know for sure yet, but I'd really like there to be one. I know AHFOD had one, and I think Ghost Stories did too, so I wouldn't be surprised at all.
  19. Funny to see Aiko as a potential song.
  20. To be clear, even though Music of the Spheres received seven singles, only three were released prior to the album and one of them was only a promotional one (although I think Coloratura should have been the lead single with an epic music video).
  21. Remember the bundles as well, because they're quite weird. I've bought the standard record + notebook CD edition, which has the media as described but seemingly does not come with the notebook, just the standard manual. However, based on the length of both manuals and the images I believe their contents are the same, just the notebook has a less interesting background.
  22. I'd love to see a BSL translation of Coloratura. 😂
  23. I think the issue with the over-reliance on AHFOD era songs is that a number of their most popular songs came from that era and skipping them would be along the same lines as them skipping Yellow, The Scientist or A Sky Full of Stars. With that said, I'd love to see a Coldplay set list that's almost entirely formed of the more obscure songs or ones that haven't been played for a while. I'd love a good live recording of Lovers in Japan, for example - although I'd want a good Life is Beautiful live recording first, but I digress.
  24. I just listened to We Pray from the Glastonbury set... I've found my new least liked Coldplay song. What a load of tosh. Then again, the cover of Violet Hill was worse but I can forgive it because Violet Hill in its original form is a banger. Arabesque was changed slightly, but is still a very good song. The extra ending for Something Just Like This is cool, albeit has no relation to the song... It would be interesting to see if it becomes anything. To think that I'd rather be at their 2016 show as part of the AHFOD tour says a lot.
  25. My current theory is that the bonus tracks on the notebook edition may partly be a response to the leaks, and that some or all of the bonus tracks could be previously leaked songs.
