  1. I expect that the large blank space will have a track list in it once it is confirmed, but I could be wrong.
  2. Yep, it did as part of the first batch of leaks.
  3. I'd quite like a Ghost Stories part two to be honest. It's one of the Coldplay albums I go back to the most, alongside Mylo Xyloto. I think their best album is Viva La Vida when it comes to quality, but there are songs on the other two albums that keep dragging me back. The again, I absolutely love Life in Technicolor, Lovers in Japan and Death and All His Friends as well.
  4. I wouldn't compare it to a B-side considering that Gravity, Moving to Mars, Ghost Story and a number of other great Coldplay songs have been B-sides. That said I do partly agree with you about the two songs. I decided to have a listen to both songs though, and Magic has the same issues as Feels Like I'm Falling In Love. Granted it does pick up a bit earlier, but the song is almost a minute longer as well.
  5. I got the song downloaded through iTunes. It's an alright song, probably better than Higher Power, and undoubtedly would have been considered one of the highlights of MOTS1 had it been released three years earlier. The live recording definitely made the song sound worse than it really is, although there could be a bit more going on in the song earlier on. It's pleasant, but only in the last third does the song really get going, and then it's over almost immediately afterwards. If I was producing the song, I'd reorder the song so that both verses play before the chorus, but with the second being a bit more intense, followed by a shorter chorus, then the bridge, and then a longer chorus and post-chorus.
  6. In anticipation of the song being released on the 21st (as I write this potentially only fifteen minutes away), I'm taking the opportunity to create a semi-official thread for the song. Listen to the song here. I'd like to embed the video, but Coldplaying is being annoying and not letting me.
  7. Or perhaps two alternate tracklists that they're trying to decide between?
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if if that's the case.
  9. That third track sounds absolutely horrible... I can live with one or two bad tracks but hopefully the rest of the album is better than that, and that third song is a similar case to X Marks the Spot. I may end up regretting spending £40 on the album.
  10. I've been looking into pre-ordering the album, and I have to say that the different editions are very weird. The Moon Music basic CD is just the CD and the booklet. The Notebook Edition includes the notebook and the bonus tracks, but not the cool looking booklet from the standard edition - both are 28 pages though, leading me to believe that the content is the same but the standard edition has the very nice artwork and the more expensive version has the boring paper background. My original intention was to buy the record and CD bundle, with the Notebook Edition CD. However, the description doesn't really clarify which booklet is included. The Notebook Edition record + CD bundle does appear to include the proper notebook though. However, there's no chance I'm paying £50 for it. My predicament is that the standard record + Notebook CD bundle is £38, which is a lot of money. I could get the Notebook CD on its own for £15, but I really love the artwork for this album and I don't want to miss out on it, which is really pushing me towards that bundle... Is it just me or was MOTS1 simpler? Granted I only bought the Infinity Station CD (I didn't care much for the MOTS cover art so having the cool silver version was enough for me), but I remember it seeming less complicated.
  11. I agree. It does sound a bit naff live, but it was an amateur recording and there are likely issues with the mixing as well. I noticed that parts of the studio snippet were barely audible in the live recording, although I am concerned about the lack of progression in the song. A similar case to the new leaked versions of The Race and Weirdo.
  12. A sans serif font on a Coldplay cover?! 😱
  13. I believe Aeterna was going to be a b-side, although whether that will actually happen I don't know.
  14. Feels Like I'm Falling In Love doesn't sound very Viva-ish, but it does sound a bit like the Mylo era. Not a bad one to go back too I say, although we'll need to hear the rest of the album to know for sure what it sounds like.
  15. The snippet sounds quite good. Hopefully the full song is as good as that.
  16. 'Now my feet won't touch the ground' or variants of that were mentioned in multiple songs during the VLV era, as another example.
  17. Just for clarification, while I've been involved with the mentioned threads from the beginning, I have not leaked any songs myself. I'll summarise my response to the OP below: Coldplaying have not encouraged or promoted the leaking of songs. For the most part the remaining leak threads (the first one was shut down) do not break any of the site's rules and when users do the threads are tidied very quickly. We do not mention the name of the site in publicly available threads, we do not share the songs in those threads, and those asking where to find them are answered in private messages. We, as users, do not have a moral duty to protect the copyright of Coldplay. It is worth noting that the copyright holders of the leaked songs have (as far as we are aware) only been chasing after the site, the people who have leaked music or are alleged to have done so, and not Coldplaying as a site, for good reason. The only reason we listen to the leaks is because we like Coldplay and like the music (well, not all of it, but that's besides the point). None of this is out of spite for Coldplay, obviously. The argument that Coldplay are being stolen from is flaky. While they did not intend for us to have these songs, that in itself is not a good enough reason to not listen to them. Keep in mind that the members of Coldplay are unbelievably rich, more than most of us ever will be, and lose nothing from the leaks being heard by a comparatively very small portion of their fanbase. Just because I may have heard some or most of the songs from Moon Music already, does not mean I won't be buying it... Because I'll be buying the deluxe version regardless. Additionally, the leaks of older demos, especially the ones of the songs that are unlikely to ever release and be considered preservation. Assuming the newly leaked version of Weirdo is what we're going to get eventually, I am grateful that the significantly superior Everyday Life version has been leaked and therefore preserved. Finally, it is quite cheeky of you to complain about the leaks despite allegedly being one of the leakers yourself.
  18. There is a full version. I think it's the same as the leak from a few months ago though.
  19. I've slowly been getting through the latest leaks. The new version of Weirdo has some nice bits but it is nowhere near as good as the EL version, which to me was pretty much perfect. I wouldn't be surprised if Coldplay eventually roll back to the original version, or combine them in some way. However there are some oddities with this version that make me question how real it is. While I don't think it's AI or a cover, I think it's either a highly unfinished version or modified in some way, because the start is very odd, and I don't find it plausible that Coldplay would keep an unedited version of the original at the end of the song, as it sounds completely different to the rest of the song. Even MOTS1, as disjointed as it was, had consistent elements that set them apart from the other albums. The Race actually has potential in its new form in my mind. There are bits of it I do like quite a bit, although it lacks the climax that both of the previous versions have. Two Aliens is weird. The first half of it is pretty crap, but from roughly 2:20 onwards it improves very quickly. The improvement is a bit too quick though; it comes out of nowhere - but regardless of that, the snippets did do the song justice, and it's as good in that bit as I had expected. Unfinished, but a lot of potential. I don't think that Treasure is better than Biutyful. It's nice, but not better. Then again, I do seem to be one of the five people who actually like Biutyful, so I may be biased. Neon Forest has potential but I'd like to hear a higher quality version first. I still don't like Robots. Finally, UFO ii is still in the 'okay' category but I still think it doesn't go anywhere.
  20. I haven't heard a piano version; is it on 'the site'?
  21. What's different? Or is it a joke?
  22. 2 Aliens is great, I'd love to hear the full version of it.
  23. Perhaps the threads were merged without it being checked first? It isn't your fault, don't worry.
  24. I'm not sure which moderator changed the thread title to 'New youtube picture and single comings' but I'm going to change it back to something else, because now it doesn't seem like it's the official MOTS2 thread which it has been for several years...
  25. It's two years after I expected it to happen, but here we are. Finally things are getting into gear.
