I agree with your points. It was more of a selfish suggestion as I'd like to know how to help out the community here. And I think if one new person decides to give it a go, it would have been a success. We can always use more ppl to be a backup recorder. I'll kinda ditch my idea to you (and the other mods) to see if you wanna go ahead.

so is there a point in recording? or shall we just rip it after? relatedly, are you or someone in charge of multimedia? could they perhaps post a tutorial on how to rip/record/host things? for example, i'm having particular trouble finding the url codes to be able to record via VLC. It would help some other users maybe get into it and help record things in the future.

Let me start by saying its very nice of you to directly ask for my opinion! It's known that the band have little snippets of ideas and once in a while they would dive back into their library and work on it. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that this is the case here. With that being said, I personally don't think this has a direct lineage with GS. I do hear a bit of Always In My Head in there, though I see it mixed with a more Strawberry Swing theme.

My feelings toward the title are: a) The band didn't say that was the title as far as I know, just ColdplayAtlas b) If, for example, the song Politik was suddenly called 'Whale Farts', would you love it any less? For me, no A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet

My $0.02 on the new song situation: 15 second snippets are not a lot to go off of. Granted, its more than we got previously and i'm stoked to get anything. But I can't get a good read/vibe off the clips. I'd like to compare it to the first time I heard a snippet of Paradise on some website that played those 30-second clips of songs before you buy them. See, this new song doesn't give me the same hype as when I heard Paradise. Granted, the website picked a very good spot (when the synths came in at the beginning) to sample. And the new clips are just random. tl;dr, a good start, I don't hate/nor love the song basically because there isn't enough to go off of. But hey, that could change in less than 24 hours!
