  1. Well, I'd be able to kill two birds with one stone I guess, since I'm planning on following a live blog during the event (tmr @ 1:00pm est). If Coldplay are at the event, i'll hear about it
  2. ^ The Apple event is tmr though, no? It better be, otherwise I would've had the date marked wrong on my calendar the whole time! And I don't see Coldplay releasing LP7 exclusively for Apple Music when they're so heavily engrained in Tidal (no matter how buddy buddy Chris is with Apple higher-ups). edit: nice edit
  3. While I don't know how much this applies to Coldplay, I do recall some artists saying its a weird feeling playing music to a crowd who has never heard it before. They're so used to having the crowd sing back the lyrics when it doesn't happen, it kinda throws them off a bit.
  4. We've been saying that ever since for at least 3 weeks and yet...nothing....
  5. While I agree that it's possible that they give us nothing new, it's more probable that they do. Given the history of past events, if I were to bet, I would bet we would get something new. Another poster also brought up that there would be little point to play this gig at all if it weren't for something new they wanna show us. But I guess that kind of mind set will likely set you up to be least disappointed. Without googling it, I'd say Coldplay are slightly older than those other 2 bands. (edit: wiki checked, basically comparing upper 30s of coldplay vs mid 30 of 1R vs early 30s of ID, so I guess the age isn't a factor). But beyond that, Coldplay's personality just doesn't seem like they'd be tweeting a whole lot. They're come off as kinda shy, well-mannered, introverted even, lads (and i'm not saying that's a bad thing; just who they are).
  6. From what I gather, the band plus the various band characters (A-man, phil, etc) use the Coldplay account. The actual band members have been known to tweet, though rarely. Also don't think the band tell anyone else what to do on social media; they just have some social media guru type (A-man perhaps?) who handles it. But anywho, my original point was there's 10 days left to wait so its nbd to me
  7. At this point I'm over it. The gig is in 10 days. I can take 10 days of silence if by the end of it I get a new song. Plus, the guys in the band don't seem like the instagraming, duckface-selfie taking, social-networking type to me anyway. It was hard for me to imagine Will sending out a tweet out-of-the-blue from the studio. Well, maybe Guy, since he's into photography I guess, he would instagram....
  8. Yup, sam smith it is
  9. I think you messed up somewhere. 2016 is in 5 months and we don't even have LP7 yet.
  10. The weird part was it seemed at first you typed it out (or at least c+p), then you figured out the signature space, but continued to c+p it? lol
  11. but iunno if a band would go to a studio to rehearse or rent out a rehearsal space for that sort of thing. something like this comes to mind: [video=youtube;PdhIqIQA088] PS, thank god you stopped putting your signature tagline in your message space; it made me unreasonably annoyed every time I saw it.
  12. Alternatively, they could just be back to rehearse for their gigs?
  13. Labour day tho. Not sure if that means anything
  14. http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?msg=iHeartRadio%20Festival&p0=127&year=2015&month=9&day=18&hour=19&min=15&sec=0 http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/104648-18-19-SEP-2015-Coldplay-iHeartRadio-Music-Festival-Las-Vegas
  15. Not that there's anything wrong but i'm calling repost on this one. The first time this was posted, everyone was freaking out over 'modular synths'.
  16. 'Soon' means nothing though. But think of it this way. Like you said, the band wouldn't just sit on an album if it's complete. So why haven't they released anything yet? Because it's simply not done yet! The only time frame has been set by us, and who knows if it's accurate and if the band has the same timeline as us? Bottom line I guess is that we're really just 2 Fridays away from something!
  17. Ah thanks. But i'm with the other posters who have said they're hesitant to accept this as fact. One of the things users from the UK have posted here is that The Sun is not to be trusted....
  18. I'm not calling you a liar, but where did they say this; I don't recall
  19. If the band are on break still, would it be safe to assume they'll get back together soon to rehearse a bit for the upcoming gigs?
  20. I'd prefer Xs to smiley faces. But I see your point, and BOTH are terrible
  21. Lets just pretend the smiley face will be the album cover. It would no doubt be the worst album cover on an LP from the band.
  22. Well, one album has to be last....
  23. Good to see another Canadian as well!
  24. At the same time, I don't think the band are just sitting on a finished album and withholding it for no reason. The band are known to be perfectionists and nitpick at every little thing and management have to rip it from them to get released. I think it'll get here when it gets here but yeah, it is a bit of a downer that there's no news whatsoever, which to me, opens the window to a surprise release. Not saying it will happen, but possible.
