K, new page. Let's ditch the leak talk. I think it's clear those for and against it are firmly in their opinions and not about to budge. Leak happened (whether we like it or not). The song. Iunno, calling it the successor to Yellow and Viva was a little heavy handed imo. The song itself (which i've heard) was solid. Feels to me though, like it belongs more in the previous MX era than this new, low key GS era.

Jonny is at the stage where he needs more solos though. My band are going through the same argument determining solos are kinda going out of style in the poppy radio era unfortunately....

I'm still not sure how you're coming to the conclusion that GS might flop. Nothing about this era points to it being a flop. Promo the LP with TV appearances? Check Create an hour long concert preview broadcasting worldwide? Check Tracks (that we've heard) are of good quality? Check First officially released songs are doing well in the charts? Check Hype up the band with Chris being in the news (separation, guest judge on The Voice)? Check

Ahh, yeah, I don't get Jools Holland in Canada but from what I know of it (from the previous times they played there) its mostly an album showcase. I'm still surprised not more has been said about it though. Even their live thread is kinda dead

I think the 2nd show was for a radio contest, at least it wasn't part of the official Coldplay tour. It isn't even listed on the Coldplay.com tour page. I think Coldplay wanted to leave the exclusive song for the 'real' fans.
