I mean, I was pretty lukewarm about EL, but I would place flags near the top if it were on the full album. I guess another case of Coldplay's bsides being better than the main tracks!

Someone suggested LP9 maybe sounding like Flags and Orphans. I mean, thats something more radio friendly I think we can all live with!

JC90 verdict - Me likeeeeeeeeeeey so groovy, I mean, you can tell from the 30 second preview, but I knew I had to get my earholes on it as soon as I heard it. Full version (low fi version I heard) satisfies me. Beginning almost sounds like Vitamins or something Coldplay made in the 90s, or maybe its that guitar effect, but either way, im a fan. Sounds legit like a (pre) parachutes era song in a good way! edit :sorry, wasnt Vitamins (actually didnt know a full version existed, but youtubed it).

Maybe not so many. Seems like everyone will be 'distracted' by EL, and the turnaround for LP9 is relatively short, maybe this wont be a long one.

Of course they still look up to him. This rumour that because Coldplay ditched him after Viva and went more pop, means they suddenly hate him is stupid

To me, Coldplay werent planning to tour this era much anyways, so I dont think its fair to blame LP9 on the shortness of EL. If EL and LP9 switched places chronologically, I still dont think they wouldve toured it much either. I think its more the subject matter (like with GS), makes it hard to tour.

Then don't listen to this next album (so quickly). I mean, no one is forcing you. I think this is an excellent idea for Coldplay in particular when the fanbase is split between the pop sound and classic alt sound. Everyone can choose whatever they want to listen to!

Same, but I rarely see anything good coming from reading the comment sections. I guess it depends on which site, but I wouldnt put the comment section of a news site on that list. Same goes for Youtube, or twitter.
