i love how turkish people are eager to vote! whenever there's any kind of voting, we're in it and we (not me actually) vote for the turkish candidates, this can be any voting,eg. nba allstar (we even race with china!), the place for the olympics,a stadium for a football match, anything,anything... even when there's a political voting in some website (no matter it is a local or global site), we immediately forward mails warning about the issue! this is who we are

well, we had a classic eurovision song (a bad one of course), a cute singer and some beautiful girls dancing.. i heard that Kenan Doğulu (the singer) has became a bit popular in finland, so we got some points from northern countries as well.. and of course, the biggest advantage is that we have eurovision friends such as germany, belgium, the netherlands, switzerland, bosnia, etc  (i dont remember taking less than 10 points from germany :P) so, i am quite sure the next year we'll have at least 50 points from those countries only, whatever the song will be

Also, wie heißen jene Länder, die wirklich Europa darstellen? Frankreich? Griechenland? Spanien? Ja, natürlich es gibt Deutschland.. wir lieben Deutschland  well, western europe is too cool for this contest, i guess :sneaky:
  6. maybe you're right.. i read something one or two days ago and it's saying that in France only 41% of over 18 year-old population is working, so French people love living, not working.. but, isn't it weird that you are waiting to be "fixed" by a president (whose duty is simply governing the country).. if there is a problem associated with the society or people's habits/ customs/ characteristics, the first place responsible for this, is not the government; it is the society itself and there exist social and non-governmental organizations that can take this responsibility...
  7. ohoo birileri yılan şampiyonluğuna göz koymuş..
  8. Only 5? 5 years-period is quite enough for any kind of public rebellions, economic deteriorations, some international crises and so on..
  9. I wonder, Does he really hate Turkey or was it just because of getting votes from some areas? Does he know the EU is not just France, and sadly, France seems to be a "sick man"? What kind of a friendship will be born between Sarkozy (France) and Dubya Bush(the USA)? France has given Sarkozy everything he wants, let's see what will he give to the country, and to the world peace? I don't think he was the right choice for France (and for the EU) but, with respecting the French people's decision, i hope everything's gonna be good...

  17. oh my.. absolutely the cutest one i've ever seen here..
  18. thank you soo much Emily, really. that was very kind of you. i got far more sincere and clearer explanations than i expected, especially in the last paragraph: "What is not fair is that Europe is holding this incident over the heads of Turkey to keep it out of the European Union. It is ridiculous that they want to force Turkey to apologize when all the perpetrators are dead. It was not only a different time, but a different government and different system. Europeans have a tradition of hating and fearing Turks. I think most Americans that observe this situation feel that Europe is using the Armenian incident as a cover for their prejudice against Turkey." every single sentence in this paragraph shows that your father has very good knowledge of history and international relations and also has a "deductive intelligence".. i can say these because he made a good job in a field that he doesn't know much.. in fact, even i, although being sure about its truth, could not claim the statement "Europeans have a tradition of hating and fearing Turks." this explicit and clear. actually, this has been the case in almost all relations between Turkey and Europe for half centuries.. anyway, i asked my question and got the answer :-) again, thank you both and take care..
