  1. I haven't been on here in a couple of years so sorry if this is in the wrong place, but just wanted to post my Youtube link to a cover of Talk I recorded in a very different key & style. And made a very bizarre video for it using the PC game "The Movies" ! Check it out, much crazier than a giant robot!
  2. I wasn't too impressed! I like Bigger, Stronger but can see why it and the other non-Parrachutes songs didn't make the album.
  3. I finally got it today and heard some of the songs on it for the first time ever, and my first thought is that they should do more songs with louder and more distorted electric guitar like on Bigger Stronger.....discuss!
  4. Hail Hail - Pearl Jam
  5. The Soundtrack of Our Lives

I've not heard it either, hence the whole point of this thread lol....I'm starting to think I have to buy it now before they become impossible to find in the future.

Okay firstly don't lynch me for not being hardcore enough, lol, I've only got (and love) the Coldplay albums, though obviously I've been aware of them releasing stuff prior to Parrachutes but I've never actually heard any of it...But I was in a second hand/rare CD shop in Notting Hill the other week and saw the Blue Room and some other stuff going for about £20-30 each, I didn't buy them at the time but I've been thinking about going back there and getting them. Is it worth spending that kind of money? I know a lot of people love some of that early stuff. And yes I know I could just download them but not really the same as owning a rare CD.
  10. I think they should make an album like old Spiritualized or Mercury Rev! Freak people out lol
  11. I'm so glad to see this thread 'cos it was seeming like I was the only one who liked X&Y lol. It's such a good album, I think Talk, White Shadow, the title track, A Message, Square One and What If are all up with their best work.
  12. I think VLV is a great album, I also loved X&Y, both are quite different in their own ways to their early stuff though, which isn't a bad thing. But I have to admit one day I'd like to see them do an album with more acoustic based stuff again, more songs like Sparks! But all their albums are great in their own way anyway, so saying they need to 'ditch Eno' is way over the top!
  13. the Dinosaurs 3D movie at the London Imax today was great!
