ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? They've BARELY played the song live at ALL. It is by NO means the most popular song amongst fans (although it is well liked.) BUT THEY LEFT WHITE SHADOWS ON THE ALBUM!!!! Are they NUTS!!!! It's the best song of their CAREER! The Hardest Part is soo forgetable. I am BEYOND furious! It's NOT single worthy. If they chose What If, Low, Swallowed In The Sea, or WHITE SHADOWS...I'd understand...but THE HARDEST PART? WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!!!!!!!! God! Dave

hmm...this seems kinda fishy. it's not that i don't believe you, but...i truely won't believe it till i see a press release or something. i think they'd at least wait till after single #4 (which i'm pretty sure there's gonna be one), unless of course single #4 doesn't have any new b-sides, meaning like they'd included remixes or live tracks instead, which would be pretty cool. I'm a bit skeptical. If there was already a press release sent out, then I guess it's really true. I just think they'd wait till after single #4. Dave

They'll either do: 1) Speed Of Sound - it was the song they're nominated for, plus huge hit 2) Fix You - huge live song, popular amongs fans and the public 3) X&Y - title track to the album they're nominated for 4) Talk - IF it continues to grow in popularity in the US 5) White Shadows - looks like it'll probably be the 4th single...so if they want some free promotion... Greatest baseline they've EVER done. Also, one of the best guitarlines, drum parts and lyrics. My FAVORITE part of the song is the "permenant state" harmony. Completely brilliant song. Dave

Remember...The Scientist and Trouble peaked at 10, and Clocks only #9...yet both are considered classics. Chart positions aren't everything. It's a radio hit in the UK but also the US! Talk as a whole is very successful! Dave

Proof would bore u! You've got issues my friend. Its a beautiful song...just cos its slow doesnt mean it wouldnt be fantastic. that's like saying see you soon would bore you. :stunned: Don't get me wrong...I love Proof. And I do love Coldplay's slow songs. It has nothing to do with the fact that it's slow. I just don't see it as much as a live song. I think it would be good and be happy if they did it...but I just think I would zone out a bit. It's just my personal opinion. As for See You Soon...I love that song. One of their best live songs, to be honest. Proof just doesn't strike me as a live song...even the live version of it. Dave

The World Turned Upside Down PLEASE!!!!! Or Things I Don't Understand! Sleeping Sun would be cool in the acoustic set. Proof, however, is a great song but would bore me to death! Dave

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be White Shadows. It's the only track they've done throughtout the entire tour! Well, other than Square One...but it's just an "opening" track...like Politik. A Message hasn't (I believe) apeared on tour yet, What If and Low are very in and out of the tour, Swallowed In The Sea hasn't even apeared at all shows. I'm PRETTY sure it'll be WS. It's extremely radio friendly, for one, but also it's gotten alot of publicity. It's been played on the radio all over the world. I know at least for the Austin City Limits show, they included it, and every other song they showed was a single (other than TKC, but that's sort of a special track cos of the whole Johnny Cash thing). PLUS, it's my absolute favorite song EEEEVVVVEEERRR out of every band I've ever listened to. Seriously, they wouldn't release a single that they don't perform on tour alot. It's built in publicity for it. Releasing something like The Hardest Part would be SUICIDE, especially since they can't even play it live right. It's really between White Shadows, Square One, and Swallowed In The Sea...and WS will PROBABLY be it! Dave

They absolutely have done The Hardest Part on tour. But only for like the first 3-5 shows. They did it in Camden, NJ when I was there...it was awesome. Except for that Chris messed up the intro and they had to start over, but it was really memorable! Dave

AWESOME! WS is my favorite song of all time, hands down! I love it! It BETTER be single #4...or else I will be SOOO angry! Best song of their career IMO. I think it will be tho...it's only logical. Look at their sets, it's the only song besides Square One that's been in EVERY set...and Square One won't be a single, it's just an awesome opener to the album and tour...like Politik for AROBTTH.
