arrr! WHY (Hardest Part!)...if they want it so badly in the set, don't replace Swallowed In The Sea with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Replace X&Y or How You See The World or something! (although I really like those songs and want them to stay in the set). I really don't think it'll be the new single...or else they'd ALWAYS be playing it... Dave

I did just hear it on US radio!!!!! Yay! I dunno what station, though. I never thought to look, as I was just browsing! But it was really cool! Sounded GREAT on the radio! The guy just said "here's a new one from Coldplay..." and that was it. Kinda cool! Looks like a good sign, doesn't it! Dave

It is just rumored...no one knows for sure. Besides, ANYONE can update Wikipedia it was just added due to a rumor. I still don't know if it actually'll be the single or not. Don't see why they wouldn't have performed it all their shows so far if it is! Dave

i don't think that's real if it's on wikipedia. i think that's fan made. i remember seeing the same thing on coldplaying.com news section with the announcement. don't think it's real, sorry. Dave

you're 1st example is a little bit flawwed, as Clocks was released in the UK, as well. Also, I BELIEVE (not 100% positive) that In My Place was released later in the US than in the UK...so they just skipped over The Scientist and went right to Clocks (to coincide with the rest of the world). Also, I do believe that The Scientist was later released in the US, but after Clocks. However, no song is ever truely "released" in the US, they have no physical formats over there. A single is just a song, nothing really physical. CD singles ARE released (Clocks was) but it's rare for an artist to do that. It's really all about radio airplay and what song the artist wants to be on the radio at the time. If they make White Shadows an American only single (hopefully not just South American), I'd be happy! Just as long as there's some sorta CD single released for it! Dave

i just really hope they make an official announcement soon! it's driving me nuts! the single SHOULD be coming out soon, ya know. the last one was in Dec. and April (rumored THP release) is WAY too long after that! I'm thinking early March! But just as long as it's White Shadows...I don't care when it is :) Dave

That is true, but they haven't played it at all the US shows so far. Only 2/3. You'd think that if they wanted it to be a single, it'd be at everything. Once Talk got into the set, it never left and that ended up being a single. Fix You and SOS were always in the set, too...and they were singles. The only other tracks that have a firm position in the tour set are White Shadows, Square One, and Til Kingdom Come. TKC is the bonus track and S1 is the album opener. So logically, White Shadows should be the next single. But then again, this is the "Twisted Logic" tour! It's a really stupid mistake to release it. Dave they have had 3 shows so far on the new leg of the tour and they have played it at every show in the encore. they never played it on the first leg and now that they are playing it, in the encore no less, is a very sound indication that it is going to be the next single. Actually, you are wrong. They did not play it the 2nd night...they played Swallowed In The Sea in it's place. At least according to the setlists I've seen. AND they HAVE played it prior to this...but it was only for like the first 3-5 shows on their 1st North American tour. I saw it live in Camden, NJ...and they messed up. Plus, a song being in the encore doesn't really make it a single. Both Swallowed In The Sea and What If started off the encore before The Hardest Part got into the equation. Yet, White Shadows has been done at EVERY show...which is my biggest beef. If you're going to release a song...please perform it on tour!!! THP has been at TOPS 8 shows...and White Shadows has been at ALL of em...yet the rumor is THP! Doesn't make sense, does it?! Dave

I keep getting angry and happy then angry then happy then angry then happy. I'm angry right now. I don't think they'd be shooting the video quite yet. In the past we've gotten a confirmation ab the single before news on the video. Happened with every X&Y single so far. I can't remember past that...but I'm sure it happened with AROBTTH singles. I dunno. I'm seriously thinking about complaining to somebody if it is. I still say a good compromise would be a AA-single. Coldplay can release what they want, and we'll get what we want and we'll all be happy! I HOPE these are all rumors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave

I REALLY HOPE THIS IS TRUE!!! It's my favorite Coldplay song EVER. In fact, it's my favorite SONG ever! Not releasing it would be terrible! I'm PRAYING that this is true! The concensus seems to like WS ALOT (ALOT ALOT ALOT ALOT ALOT ALOT) more than The Hardest Part! Really excited for an official confirmation! Dave

that's not necessisarily true about the Grammys. most artists perform the song(s) they are nominated for, the title track to the album they're nominated for, or a really popular single from it. My guess is Speed Of Sound, Fix You, X&Y, or Talk. The Hardest Part probably won;'t be played. It's not Grammy worty (it's not single worthy). I'd like to see White Shadows. It's a really popular live song...although they won't! WS = White Shadows AND Waisted Song! Dave

if they add it into tonights set, things'l sure be pointing to it being single #4! i just still don't understand how they'd release it over White Shadows, which is a clear classic. if they release The Hardest Part...fine, but they better release a 5th single!!!! The song will flop so terrribly, they'll be laughed it. Anyone who owns the album (which alot of people) are surely NOT expecting it to be a single...so why? that's all i wanna know is why! Dave

The whole Debs thing is confusing. On one hand, if The Hardest Part is indeed single #4, it's not ready for an official announcement yet, so she couldn't say anything. But on the other hand, she didn't have to answer the question. If it was indeed the truth and she couldn't say anything, she probably would have not answered it. Also, it's fishy because she said she's not heard anything. Meaning, not yes or no. The key is really where Radio 1 got their info, because they might have been misinformed. Anything could have happened. Coldplay just aren't that stupid...that's the thing that's making me really confused. There are alot of things pointing to this being the truth, but also alot of flaws in it. I'm sure Coldplay wouldn't release the single in April...that's way too large of a gap. I see something coming in early to mid March. Logically, that's how it should be. They'd do better not releasing anything at all then releasing it almost a full year since the album project started! Arg...I'm still not really over this. It just gets me angry! I was REALLY pulling for White Shadows! I love Coldplay and all...but they are just IDIOTS if they release The Hardest Part over it! C'mon! White Shadows has gotten alot of airtime on both TV and radio (for a non-single) and The Hardest Part has gotten NONE. ZERO. Completely nothing! They can't even play it right live! I guess they could add it back into the set for the new NA tour, but that would be just stupid because throughout all of the European tour they NEVER played it. What's the point of adding it now, after all the promotion for the album in the UK/EU is done? They know that White Shadows is a popular track amongst both fans AND the public. They know it would be a radio hit. It would DEFINATLEY chart/sell well! It would even be a US hit. If The Hardest Part IS released...it will (probably) barely scratch the top-20. Can you imagine if you were a non-CP fan and heard it on the radio? I'd laugh! I know I'm taking this wwaaayy too seriously, but I can't help it. I hate to see them leave my favorite song of all time on the album! Maybe they'll get the hint??? I mean, the number of people who dislike the idea definately outweighs the people who do like it being a single. I know they won't regret NOT releasing The Hardest Part...but they would definately regret not releasing White Shadows! I mean, c'mon! It's the most popular album track, maybe next to Square One, but it's the album opener, and was never going to be a single anyway. Swallowd In The Sea is also really popular. But at least that's a logical choice for a single! Man, the song Twisted Logic has taken on an entirely new meaning to me now! RELEASE WHITE SHADOWS! I am still AAAANNNGGRRYYY... lemme just get this off my chest, if you please: They CANNOT play the song live at all. In Camden, NJ they had to restart it because he messed up. Yeah, it was fun, but...it really sucked! If it becomes a big single, they'd be obligated to play it alot. Can you imagine if they were terrible at playing Clocks or Yellow! Yeah, GPASUYF wasn't exactly a huge success in the UK, but it at least was a good choice for single...and is a classic. If they chose A Whisper...well, you can imagine what we'd have done!!! It's REDICULOUS!!!! Espcially leaving WHITE SHADOWS on the album. It's actually gotten airplay (ALREADY!) and even in the US! It would have been huge...but that's not even the point. The point is that they've played it at every show on the tour, it's a huge fan favorite, and even the public likes it...yet they're leaving it on the album!!!!!!!! WTF?!?! Even if they chose Swallowed In The Sea over it, I'd understand because it is a single worthy track!!!!!! The Hardest Part is NOT a single worthy track...and it will get laughed at. Thousands upon thousands of people around the world have seen Coldplay on the Twisted Logic Tour...and only 4-5 shows got to see The Hardest Part, and it sucked!!!! That NOT smart! Pick something you've played alot! It's built in promotion!!!!!! This BETTER be fake...if it's not...I SWARE I will write a complaint letter or something! It's suicide!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I love The Hardest Part. It's fun, it's upbeat...but it's NOT single worthy. It's not ingenious or anything by releasing the track that nobody expected. It's STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If White Shadows isn't single #4 I will be SOOO pissed. If this is true, I will never have been more mad at any band/singer...EVER!!!!!!! Dave
