  1. I love it. I think it's perfect!!! Dave
  2. It's a really good opener. Gets the audience SOO amped. Just as long as they spread out their big singles, it's all good. Dave
  3. I'm just gonna put it out there that I semi-called the punctuation mark on Lost. When I posted the topic about adding a gospel choir to the song I said it should be called Lost+, and they added Jay-Z and used the +. Hahaha. : ) Dave
  4. Is Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground an entirely new song, or a version of Strawberry Swing? Awesome tracklist, though! This will be available on a physical format, though, right? Dave
  5. I think some people are still missing the whole fact that this is meant to be a music video and not just a "look at Coldplay playing live" thing they posted on .com. It's great in that aspect...but for a video it's absolute shit. Dave
  6. Live videos can be very effective as music videos...but this is just a live video. It looks like something from a concert DVD in all honesty. It doesn't promote the song well as it has a live vocal (although heavily edited) and an arrangement that differs from what will be played on the radio, etc. They really should have over dubbed the album/single version over it and added a live effect. And the editing isn't all that spectacular, either. They could've worked alot more with color, possibly even playing off the balls as inspiration (something like they play off of them would've been cool). But, like I said, it's just a live video. A good one. It's so exciting to see a professional video of something live from the tour. However, it kinda (dare I say) sucks as a music video. Boring, unoriginal, uninspired, and lazy. Sorry. I've been a Coldplay fan for a very long time, but being a fan doesn't mean praising everything they do. This is a very big let-down... Dave
  7. To be perfectly honest, it's kinda boring for an official video. It's an AMAZING live video, and let's be real, the live version pisses all over the studio version. But for the video? I just think it's kind of lazy. I mean, it's REALLY awesome to see the song live in professional quality...but for the purpose it's meant to serve, it's a let down. They could've done alot more with the footage to make it more "video-like." Just saying... Cool to see, though.
  8. We still need to figure out the explanation, distribution, etc. Dave
  9. The signs are great. Now that we have that situated, though, we have to start worrying about logistics. And it's NEVER too early for that! The concert's about a month and a half away! Dave
  10. Ooh! I know, they should call it Lost+ Because the instrumental version is Lost- (the "-" is kiinda like "minus vocals"), so the "+" could be plus choir! Dave
  11. I'm sure it'll get some sort of official release in the near future. Promos are always pressed well in advance before the actual release... Especially if they filmed a video. Maybe it won't have a physical format, but I'm sure there'll be at least a download single. Dave
  12. We're going to need alot more people than this. I wish we could do some promo to get more volunteers. The Wachovia center's a much bigger place that anyone gives it credit for. And also, we have to decide on our method of explanation. And simply talking to people isn't going to work. Dave
  13. 1) We don't know how much time there'll be after Duffy. 2) We have ALOT of area to cover. We would never have been able to cover the whole floor in between opening acts. And remember...there'll be people in the seats. It'll be MUCH harder that way. Trust me. Dave
  14. It's in the top-5, and it's been kinda hovering around that spot for a while! It's incredible! Does anyone have the full chart run? Dave
  15. We could try and be innovative and what not, but the old fashioned way definitely works. It's the way we did it the first time (massive success), and the second time's "failure" was simply attributed to the confusion as to when to hold them up. With a better explanation, the old way should be fine. And TRUST ME, it'll be alot easier on our end. We might not even be able to do it any other way; the venue might not allow it. Dave
  16. We could, but I'm not sure if that's reliable. A good idea might be to sand at each of the entrances into the actual arena (not from the outside, but at each individual section) and just hand them signs there. That would still require alot of people. Dave
  17. Well I do think we should all meed up before the show. Maybe have name tags or something. But as far as distribution goes, the best and most efficient way is to put them on their seats. UNLESS there was some way to hand them out as soon as they get their tickets checked... Dave
  18. We'd have to have several tables...the stadium is a big place! Dave
  19. Thanks Morgan! That'd be great. And the table/hand out idea is a good one. However, I don't want us to miss the opening act, etc. And simply setting up a stand would mean people would have to come to us (and I doubt they will). But maybe we can expand on it? Anyone have any bright ideas? Dave
  20. I think better instructions this time around are a must. There's no use putting all of this effort into doing it if everybody doesn't hold up their signs. It also needs to look really professional at the same time. So whether a note (doesn't have to be the one I wrote) is on the back or stapled somehow, I do personally think it's a good idea. Dave
  21. The acoustic version is absolutely beautiful. It's amazing! Dave
  22. Sean can you PM the list of everyone you have? Dave
  23. Haha yes, it was great! After all this is a PHILLY tradition! Of course Coldplay has alot of dedicated US fans, and I'm not trying to take anything away from them...but Philly fans ROCK. Also, can we get some sort of agreement on the attached supplements? Dave
  24. Haha that'd be awesome. Thank you! Dave
  25. Ooh that's an even better idea! After all it is a Philly tradition. My vote is for Philly Loves Coldplay. Anyone else? Dave
