  1. Yes, and now Sarah has got a hotel room in Bremen. :nice: Giuly, I guess it's very hot in Italy, too?! :P Yesterday it was about 39 degrees, but I like it. I will not start to complain about the weather. :nice: Sure Kara, I will take my digi-cam. I really hope we both can meet each other too, maybe together with Steph and Ophélie. When are you going to New York and when are you coming back?
  2. Hey Giuly! :nice: Hehe, Sarah everyone is only allowed to take part for one time, not ever again. ;) And you don't have to be worry... we didn't get a start place. :P Yes Kara... Emiliana, winnie, Sarah and me will meet each other next weekend in Bremen. We wanted to do it in Hamburg, but... I think you already know the story with Ashcroft! :D
  3. Hehe, it's very traditional in Bremen and the atmosphere is absolutely fantastic every year. People sitting on their little "island" have to paddle against the current. ;) Hey Myrrho! :) Well, I don't miss the rain. ^^
  4. 8 hours is a lot I know... yesterday and today I had to work for 10 hours, because so many people have holidays... :dozey: Lol a big ship sounded its horn right now! :D Yeah Sarah, I read it and I'm really looking forward to next weekend. Then there will be the "Badeinsel Regatta" aswell. ;) So who else is coming? Verena, Felix and you, right?
  5. Hey Sarah, but you got your thunderstorm yesterday instead of me! ;) Can't wait for next weekend! ^^ Nice to hear that you got your hotel. It's really hot. I watched the evening news and they said that this weather will continue next week. Well, I like it! :nice:
  6. Yeah, I was so angry that life became so incredible expensive with the Euro. Today you pay 2€ for an ice-cream... 5 years ago it was 2DM! :dozey: But I still remember Silvester 2001/2002. My family and I quickly went to the next bank to get the new currency. :D We had to wait 30 minutes. ^^ And we got these "Starterkits" 2 weeks before it. :D It was like a new toy! But I still have some Deutsche Mark notes and coins... :P Kara, changing the currency was very easy, because you can say that 1€ is nearly 2DM. ;) I collected all different coins of all countries.
  7. So, you don't have enough money for a trip to London? :( Hehe Kara, I chated with Ophélie before she was going to Cyprus and maybe she will visit London at the end of August, too. :nice: That would be fantastic. Hehe, yeah, life became more expensive here with the Euro. That was the most annoying think of it and I also liked the "Deutsche Mark". But 1 €uro was 1,95 DM, so it was very easy to handle with the new currency. Now I'm happy with the Euro. ;)
  8. I don't have summer vacation Grace, although they started on Thursday here in Lower Saxony, but in August I have 2 weeks of holiday. It's as good as sure that I will fly to London again. I looked for a cheap flight and I found one. Bremen-London Luton-Bremen for only 55 €. Last December I paid 86 € I think. But I hate changing the money... :D When will you get the Euro in UK? :P What are you doing Grace? Oh really Kara? Hm, than I really want to visit Brighton then. ;)
  9. Oh really? I thought Brighton was more away of London. :) Thanks for the info that Winchester was your former capital. Didn't know it... ;) Hey Grace! I'm fine but bored, how are you?
  10. Wow Californication is amazing! :stunned: I guess you had a great time. Isn't it very strenuous for you to drive the long way back from London to Brighton at night? :)
  11. Wow, nice one Kara! :nice: The lights in the background remind me a bit of the clip to "Speed Of Sound". ;) Did they play more new songs of their new album?

   To your family members? :stunned: :wink3: Well, I often say it, too! You can say it in every situation.
  13. Oh yeah, I really like to see a few pictures of your concert. :nice: You video was great! :nice: I'm ok thank you... had a very busy week, especially yesterday and today but now we've weekend. :nice:
  14. I know Bosse, because my local radio station often played "Niemand vermisst uns" in the past. :) Next month Madsen will release their new album. :nice: I'm excited about it. Maybe the World Cup is responsible for the new wave of German music playing on the radio. :D
  15. Clueso's "Chicago" is the overall top track at my last.fm list. ;) I really like this song so much. I agree, radio stations play more German songs and because of that good bands like "Trashmonkeys" or "Gods Of Blitz" get more attention. :) First I dislike Mia. and their song "Tanz der Moleküle" but I had to buy it at iTunes one week ago. I really like the female singer called "Mieze" lol. :D She's crazy but cool! Personally, one of the best German songs at the moment is a song called "Die Stadt" written by Klee. :nice:
  16. Hehe I understand! :D But this song... it's worth it! :) Since a few weeks I listen to German music more often than before. I don't know why, but I always find new musicians and bands, especially on the radio. :nice:
  17. Hehe, do you often buy your songs at musicload.de? :)
  18. Hehe, that's nearly 39 degrees. ;) Yesterday they were heavy thunderstorms around my area but we didn't get any rain. Someone took this picture... it looks so amazing and horrible at the same time. Tonight I also don't have any plans. I will just enjoy the sunset while drinking the new Becks. ;) But tomorrow I will go shopping in Groningen (Netherlands). Some things are cheaper there than in Germany. ;) Hey Kara! Still excited because of your concert last Tuesday? :nice:
  19. You mean your link or the link to the myspace site? ;)
  20. Oh, another one who is still looking for the right girl. ;) At the moment I also don't have luck regarding the love, but I'm still optimistic. Life is just too short to think about things which annoy you. Hehe, it's still very hot here. Yesterday we had 39,1 degrees in Bremen. It was the hottest day in history. I guess I haven't seen rain since the last 2 months. But I like that kind of weather. Personally there's nothing better than summer. I had a very busy week, but tomorrow I will drive to Groningen (Netherlands). :nice: Any plans for this weekend?
  21. Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies) One of the best songs on earth! :nice:
  22. Larry replied to Gitta Rensolo's topic in The Lounge
My Italian friend always says "Mamma Mia"! :nice: At the moment I often say "bockig", "Du kannst mich!" and "NEEEEEIIIIN". :D :P
  23. Hey Dave! How are you? Did you get your life on track again? I wasn't here the last three days but this thread didn't grow up. Where are all people? :D
  24. I got my driver license when I became 18 years old. My exam was exactly one month before my birthday, but in Germany you'll get the driver license with the age of 18, so I had to wait. Today, I can't imagine a life without driving a car. ;) I really like it, especially on the motorways where you're allowed to drive as fast as you can here. :) Luckily I didn't have any accidents yet.
  25. Your link doesn't work, because you bought the song at musicload.de. ;) But you're right, personally it's definitely one of the best summer songs this year. You can listen to it while the sun goes down. :nice: It's time that a great, very unknown band will get the attention they deserve. The "Trashmonkeys" are a German band, coming from Bremen and they already made songs since 1998. I can't get enough of their music at the moment and their new song "Attitudes in Stereo" is only incredible! :nice: You should listen to them. http://www.myspace.com/trashmonkeys
