  1. I had no clue you also took part! Excellent! :D So happy for you! Congratulations to everyone else especially to Anna and Nancy! ;) Was thinking about trying to attend as well but then I realised I don't have any more holidays at work. Need them all for Christmas and New Year's Eve. Have a nice boat trip next week!
  2. Well said! That's one of the things why I'm proud to be a Werder Bremen supporter. :D I always hoped Özil would play a bad World Cup because I knew sooner or later he would go to a better club... He played very well against Turkey and I cannot understand why all the Turks were pissed because he was born in Germany and he had to decide between either team. Fantastic match anyway! I was really surprised of the stadium in Kazakhstan and about the fact that kick-off was at 11pm local time. 1st half was a bit boring but 2nd half was really great! And Turkey lost in Azerbaijan hehe. I'm sorry for Ireland, also missing a penalty. Watched Scotland-Spain after that. Great game! Belgium-Austria 4:4! Oo
  3. Match suspended after 6 minutes (and 35 minutes delay beforehand) due to Serbian hooligans... :\ [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccgCVCdsQsM]YouTube - Briga de torcedores radicais suspende partida entre Itália Vs Sérvia 12/10/10[/ame]
  4. Just watched it! Absolutely horrible! Urgh!
  5. Hehe I've never seen this one before! Classic! :D
  6. This happens when you try to touch the shoulder of the referee and she moves one step backwards (2. Bundesliga). :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fc-K4p8D940&feature=related]YouTube - Busen-Wischer bei Schiri Bibiana Steinhaus (Hertha - Aachen)[/ame]
  7. Anyone noticed the trend in Germany to cover and translate famous songs? This version of Dynamite is so incredible! :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLcDHDROaiw]YouTube - Dynamite - Auf Deutsch![/ame] Teenage Dream [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1d5Z_9DTcQ&feature=related]YouTube - Teenage Dream - Auf Deutsch![/ame] Use Somebody [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4XmYnAF6ZU8&feature=related]YouTube - Use Somebody - Auf Deutsch![/ame]
  8. Mainz 05 is absolutely incredible this season and they have some talented young players in their squad like Lewis Holtby (who decided to play for Germany instead of England whenever Löw or Capello nominate him). So does Borussia Dortmund and 1899 Hoffenheim while Schalke 04 who spent most of the money this season for players like Raúl (Real Madrid) and Huntelaar (AC Milan) is 17th haha! I enjoy this season so far although my lovely Werder Bremen isn't that successful either! :)
  9. Awesome! Well that's life how it should be. You only live once. :) Hope you'll have a great time next week. See ya!
  10. Ah that's a lovely story! Was it the first time you met each other by the way? You both were looking so good on the pictures. ;) I didn't know you also went to Paris to see Muse. What a life eh?! :P So sad for your friend that she didn't end up on telly.
  11. Hi Anna! :) No worries! Hope you're good! I saw you met Chris and Guy in London the other day and I forgot to write how happy I am for you. Must be an amazing experience! You're so lucky and you deserved it so much. :) What was better? This meeting or Muse? :P Yeah this cover is good. Have to say although I haven't seen a lot of the new German X Factor so far, it's fair to say the level is a lot higher than on DSDS or Popstars. ;)
  12. This bloke is amazing! :) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMzHAiEyY1I]YouTube - xfactor Germany - Marlon Bertzbach - first live show[/ame]
  13. Haha also ich finds toll! Das bleibt erstmal für ne Weile... :wacky:
  14. Whenever you have the chance to live in a foreign country... do it! It's unbelievable. I spent 6 months in New Zealand earlier the year and met so many amazing people. Now I live and work in Ireland for additional 6 months and I have one of the best days of my life. It's very interesting to see what people overseas like e.g. when it comes to do things after work or at weekends. Also using the different media landscape and watching certain types of sport which I've never seen before is quite interesting, too. You also learn to know things you miss from your home country or you meet things, facts or situations which you like even more abroad. It's a nice experience.
  15. Haha kennt jemand schon die neue Snickers Werbung? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsmRCq9DboQ]YouTube- Neue Snickers Werbung[/ame] Ich lach mich tot! So stumpf! :wacky:
  16. Not much! He wasn't really communicative to be honest! :D He read the BILD newspaper especially the article about him. Then he put on his ear-phone and slept a bit. :)
  17. Guess who sat next (!) to me during the flight from Bremen to Frankfurt yesterday? Mesut Özil, Per Mertesacker and Tim Wiese! I had a small talk with Mesut and said that he played a great World Cup! :D
  18. Hannelore Kraft's speech was one of the most emotional ones I've ever seen. Her own son attended the Love Parade so you can imagine how worried she was one week ago. This woman raises my hopes for better politics in North Rhine-Westphalia and for Germany.
  19. This is an easy question. Everyone who was involved! In the first place the mayor of Duisburg who allowed the love parade to take place at that area although people mentioned security risks beforehand. Btw, Bochum cancelled the love parade last year because they admitted that the city is just to small for such an event. Then the police wasn't possibly innocent as well. And another culprit is definitely the organiser.
  20. It's a shame really that nobody assumes responsibility for this tragedy! Instead they always point the finger at someone else. Disgusting! Meanwhile football supporters of MSV Duisburg commemorate the victims... 8 of the 21 victims aged between 20 and 40 years were from Australia, the Netherlands, Italy, Bosnia-Herzegovina, China and Spain.
  21. Death toll rises to 21... :( http://www.spiegel.de/panorama/gesellschaft/0,1518,708478,00.html Horrific!
  22. Yeah really shocking! I even watched a bit of the Love Parade live on WDR television at my friend's house yesterday before the accident occurred. Unbelievable! I'm really glad my friend decided not to attend the parade this year although he wanted to. R.I.P. to the victims! This is the moment when the tv channel mentioned the stampede first. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3Mr1QECd8A&feature=related]YouTube- Loveparade 2010 - Massenpanik (18 Tote) | HD[/ame] :( They just announced there won't be another Love Parade in the future. That's it!
  23. Miss NZ! :(
  24. Berlin Calling 9/10 Inglorious Basterds 9/10 :)
  25. Best lyrics ever... "Wir fingen an zu schmusen, beim Halt in Leverkusen Dein süßes Muttermal, fand ich in Wuppertal"
