The Turks are sooo loud outside... :dozey::D Well not a big surprise! ;) I'm sorry for Croatia! 1:0 after 119 minutes and then they lost... Now I'm seriously afraid of doing public viewing next Wednesday! What if the Germans would win? Good luck in advance to the police... :smart:

SCHLAAAND! Arrrgh what a brilliant game! Definitely the best one in this tournament. :nice: It was sooo exciting. I nearly died! After the game people were dancing on the streets and jumping on cars. What a long night! I will never forget this day. Even my grandma phoned me after the game and she was crying awwww. :D

Hmmmm no! :P Last night the Italians were too loud with their cars. And I had to sleep due to my exam today which wasn't really possible. I had no clue there are so many Italians here. :D

Seems that Germany isn't welcomed in Switzerland eh?! Look what Swiss tv-channel SF2 subtitled during the German national anthem last game... Yes, it's the forbidden first stanza... The nazi one! If Portugal beats Germany tomorrow I'm going tu support the Netherlands! Their team is just impressive, they deserve to win and Dutch people are amazing! Wonderful country! :nice:

You forgot to mention Lahm! He's the best German player in this tournament! Just read an article about the viewing rate. 28,04 million Germans have watched Austria-Germany on ARD yesterday. Unbelievable! Only Germany-Italy had more viewers 2 years ago... ;)

Germany reached the next round! :D What a bad game yesterday. Both teams didn't deserve to win, because both were rubbish. Ballack's goal was astonishing though! The referee was a donkey, too. No one really understand why Löw and Hickersberger had to leave the pitch. It was cool that Merkel talked to Löw just minutes after it. ;) Anyway it couldn't be worse so I'm looking forward to Thursday! :D

That sounds great! :nice: My brother also loves Dublin, but he said Ireland is very expensive. Good they have the euro as official currency, too. It's easier to compare prices then. :)

Jep, he's still working in Dublin and I want to visit him there. I've never been to Ireland before so it's a good chance. :D What about you? Where do you live?

I heard Cork has been European Capital of Culture so the city must be absolutely wonderful. Well at least I hope that! :D

Anyone is looking forward to Czech Republic-Turkey this evening? I wonder if this game will end with a draw. Then it's penalty time without any extra-time for the first time ever. :D

Indeed! Have you ever been to Cork? Is it worth it to sit in a train for about 3 hours? :D
-
The Travel Thread
5 hours? :shocked2: Ok, then I'll proablly use the train! :D I already checked times. The train needs about 3 hours from Dublin Heusdon and Cork. ;)

"Viva La Vida" video posted on YouTube
When I listened to "Viva La Vida" I always thought... Hm the melody is similar to another song... But it took me a few weeks to realize I meant Alizée's "J'en ai marre". It really sounds similar for me! :D

Well I need to return to Dublin and I want to be back on same day, because I don't want to spend money for accommodation in Cork. :D I can stay for free in Dublin. So it should be a one-day-trip to Cork. :)

The Travel Thread
Lol the last sentence made me laugh! :D Well I'd rather take the train instead of the bus to be honest, because it's probably quicker (but also more expensive). I only want to do a one-day-trip to Cork. :)

Wow, that was quick, thanks a lot! I already found www.irishrail.ie which looks good, too. Have you ever used this company so far?

Is anyone from Ireland able to help me? :) I would be very grateful. Do you know the best connection between Dublin and Cork? Perhaps there is a cheap train link between both cities? I want to visit my brother in Dublin in two months and I would really love to see Cork as well, but I have no clue about public transport in Ireland. :D Thanks in advance!

- German Fans?
:(- Europe in turmoil as Ireland says 'no' in EU treaty referendum
Don't know if it's good or bad that Ireland said no in EU treaty referendum... But for the EU it's a slap in the face certainly, because Ireland received millions of subventions from the EU during the last 35 years. This money was responsible for their strong economy today and the fact that Ireland isn't dependent on Great Britain anymore. I think Irishman tend to forget that... - German Fans?
