Don´t panic 12" Sealed!
This is a fantastic find! Once a year or so, look over the edges of the sleeve. If they're clean, you're safe to keep it, as is. But if they begin to bend (the plastic wrap can shrink over time), just make a clean slit along one side, and that should alleviate any stress to the sleeve. This works for CDs in cardsleeves too. In Mint/sealed condition, you have an INSANELY awesome grab. In a better economy, I'd have paid upwards of $350 for it (and im sure im not the only one). For the time being, you'd probably still bring in $240-$280, maybe $300. But you'll be admiring it for a long long time, I'm sure! :-)

Fake acetates
This guy is actually really good. He's been fooled by bootlegs and false acetates before, but if you let him know, he usually promptly removes them or changes the description detail of the listing. I've bought several verified genuine (and rare) pieces from him. Just avoid his handwritten acetates unless you're positive; that's where his poor purchase-resell decisions can be readily seen. Definitely a well intended seller, tho. Like doritji said, I wouldn't go near the acetate posted above. Makes no sense that BMG was involved w/CP in regards to any distribution of Safety or Ode tracks. Also RARELY trust a production acetate with the CD-R logo on its face.

Keep getting a 404 error (but I'm dying to know what you've posted; it's gotta be good!).

Charlie Brown Single Promotional Album/CD/Thing
Got mine off Discog's, but there are a few up on eBay right now. Not sure what you mean by asking how promos work, you mean how much you should pay, conditions, etc?

Looking for ALL Viva la Vida & Prospekt's March 7" singles and promo/non-promo CD's
eBay, GEMM, musicstack and netsoundsmusic are all great sources for any item. Price compare, and be sure to watch shipping charges (obviously in country is a whole lot cheaper than international charges). Good luck!

The Singles 1999-2006, Good buy?
What kind of stereo do you have (like a mini component or a tuner/etc...)? In either case, a nice little pair of shelf speakers won't cost you much. Not sure of any turntable with a headphone jack, but if your system had a phono connection you can run headphone from the stereo. If you run mini component, seek a phono built for that system. Denon makes a fantastic entry level Turntable for under $100usc, but you can't go wrong with an old Technics, if you find one at a garage sale, etc... (wouldn't pay the price for new). I'd stray from Ion and other mid-level brands, since they have so-so reviews for reliability, but I see Ion has good cartridge availability, which is a plus. Personally, I like Denon, and primarily use their components in my audio system, so I'm biased, but it will last you forever. My first Denon turntable is 25 years old and still runs without issue. My newest Denon is five years old, purchased for its USB copying capabilities. Good luck!

Limited edition pop-up Album cost?
Hey, check your credit or checking account you used to make the purchase. There should be a line for "Merch Direct" and a phone number. (if youre in the US use 631-891-0134). They're awesome; you'll get a human right away, and they can find your order using your last name.

what is it with the tea-party?
Most of us speak with our vote. This won't happen until November of next year. Fortunately or unfortunately, those wackos are entitled to run and to their freedom of speech. The media chooses to cover it, and fundamentalists choose to listen. Watch a few episodes of Colbert Report. Hilarious take on the madness of it all.

Should I buy the Fix You 7" Vinal disk thingy?
Depends on how you care for it. I grew up with vinyl and still have several records that I still often play. My Fleetwood Mac 'Rumours' LP has been around and played since I was a baby (late 70's) Still sounds brilliant today. You have to care for your vinyl, though, to maintain it's integrity. How you store it, where you store it, how you hold it or dust it, etc... Can all play a major role in it's longevity, as can your turntable. The needles need replacing when worn or if damaged. Cassettes, though, cassettes wore all the time, or warped or got tangled in the heads, etc... Nice for portability, but that was about it.

The Singles 1999-2006, Good buy?
Sounds like a decent deal to me. If all the vinyl and sleeves are clean, it's a good grab!

How many offical cd's of Coldplay do you have?
I don't like the look of it at all. Now-a-days, that Compact Disc logo gives me bad vibes. Seller is 100 %, but I also don't buy a Canadian seller with a just released UK promo. Hmmm...

Should I buy the Fix You 7" Vinal disk thingy?
Depends how much you'd like it as artwork. Neither are really rare, so don't fret about rushing your decision. Go to GEMM or musicstack.com if you miss out on eBay listings (or check before you bid). I sometimes find stuff a lot cheaper on both sites. Good luck!

U.S. Postal Service... soon to be gone forever?
I agree with most of your post, but the above. $40K a year to walk your ass off in every type of weather? At least in Chicago, I think it's very fair pay. Also, keep in mind, government benefits aren't anything to write home about. I had better insurance when working my first job at Target than I have working in law enforcement. I think some jobs don't have to require a MBA or years of technical training to deserve a decent check.

How many offical cd's of Coldplay do you have?
For my collecting friends, I've got a second Japanese Christmas Lights promo , bought from a secure seller in Tokyo. It bought and shipped to be for $65 (insanely low). I'd like go sell to another collector here, if someone needs it. I'd ask the $65 + shipping cost to you ( obviously this varies). Looks to be about $12 from the US to Britain/Ireland. See eBay ID smalls3177a, you can see. My feedback there, also feed the I'd to . If no one is interested, I'll pop it up onto eBay next week, think. Paid 132, so the price is good.

what do you when a boss pisses you off
I agree. Recently worked for a sergeant that liked to throw his weight around for nothing more than an ego boost. He was a pain in the ass, BUT when higher-ups wanted to discipline me for non-sensical BS, my boss stood up for me. He did it because I've always worked well for him. He knows he's a pain, and it's his full intention to demand respect (verbally, not by action)... and I just give it to him. Crossing him will get me nowhere, and He proved to me, at least when it matters, he acts as I hope he will.

what do you when a boss pisses you off
I've had shitty bosses and great ones. I've stood up for myself with the shitty ones (nicely and respectfully...and coarsely), and been paid back by getting the shaft every time it was there to be gotten, I've gone above bosses, when several employees were getting treated poorly. I was always told not to worry, and that conversations would be had, things would get better, etc... but it never changed. Essentially, she's and idiot, and you can't change that. Not to make You bummed, but you will always have shitty bosses throughout your working life. They'll come and go, just like the great ones. I think sometimes you have to ride the tidal wave and just see where it drops you. In the long run, I keep my head down, do the work I enjoy, ride through the rough stuff with my head up, and collect my check at the end of the week. Work is more enjoyable with a competent and friendly boss, but despite her attitude, if you like your job, stay. Don't be bullied into leaving. Things will eventually change. Just do the best you can, and know that youre a good employee that does a great job. When she moves elsewhere (or you do), that dedication and work ethic will truly shine for your next boss,

Coldplay new online shop
I think they distribute from both areas. Taken from small writing on the front page of the shop: "Please note merchandise ordered In Pound Sterling or Euros will ship from The United Kingdom. Merchandise purchased in US dollars will ship from the United States." does condensing the shop tax you folks more? Wasn't is always in the UK? Was under the impression this move just made all merchandise available to everyone.

I'm going to CHICAGO and I need some suggestions!!!
Agree with hitting Lou's over the other deep dish spots. I'd skip the Shedd. Expensive, and doesn't take much time to go through it. If you like art, hit the Art Institute, if you're driving, go a little out of the city and check out Brookfield Zoo (versus the Shedd). I like Bongo Room for breakfast (amazing). Billy Goats for a burger, Super Dawg for a dog. Shop Michigan Avenue and State Street (some cool architecture). If you want to venture out of that area, Wrigleyville and Wicker Park have several cute restaurants and shops. Hope you enjoy your time here!
