  1. Yeah, I asked about the X&Y some time ago. There's no music on it, just literal marketing info, or so I was told. I passed, especially at that price. The parachutes pro is a nice pickup, but even rarer is the same promo release with a different track listing. I have the one listed in the auction, and a second that starts with Shiver. Aside from the one I own, I've only seen one other with that listing order up for sale.
  2. Aside from Safety and Ode, the What If promo CDs are super rare, and all the vinyl acetates are very hard to find. The Speed of Sounds were numbered out of 20, I think...or maybe it was 10.
  3. Anyone obtain anything new or interesting lately?
  4. I think they're real, but they're definitely NOT the original photo negatives. They look like commercial press negatives. Probably used to mass produce magazine or press packet photos. Larger format negative used to make 8x10 or so adverts and promotional press material. I have a few color transparencies from the Afghan Whigs 'Black Love' release, and there isn't any company print on them. These do look like several pictures I have for Coldplay press packets. Would be neat to have, but at that price point, it's have to be something I'd personally like to hold on to. Don't think they'd generate much more $$ in the long run.
  5. Just two (one i expected might be needed). Still have three, I think. One for my collection ,and the other two, in case they're eventually needed by other collectors. But that's a great give away, esp. already being on the other side of the Atlantic, like so many folks here. :-)
  6. I'll check my stack this weekend; might have some dupes. For the rarer stuff, like new/very good is sometimes the norm, tho. I'll message if I find anything that might interest you.
  7. There were a couple on eBay last month. You looking for all the releases or just the UK?
  8. Have any other info on the Whire Shadows promo? Never knew it was released, either. Curious to find a photo or seril #. Must be super rare!
  9. This happened to me recently. Was burning three CDs. Two we a-ok, the third was a no-go. My BF is a professional techy, and he told me my drive had gone. Replacement drives are pretty cheap and easy to install.
  10. Anyone still need a copy of the Up With the Birds vinyl? I'm down to two spare copies. I'll ship anywhere, but postage may vary depending on the location. If you still need one email or send a PM.
  11. Definitely! I have a few to scan for you, if you'd like. Mostly I have to sit down an just run them through the scanner. Should be able to scan this on Sunday night for sure (working till then).
  12. My new pick-up from my insanely awesome Japanese seller: It's a 3-track ETIAW promo from a Japanese movie. Guess these are given out within the movie industry, so aren't as numerous as radio promos. http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c222/9102/?action=view¤t=d620e740.jpg&evt=user_media_share http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c222/9102/?action=view¤t=b3ec1b9b.jpg&evt=user_media_share
  13. Gotta keep your acetates!
  14. You're a crazy lady! I've considered selling leads of times, but I'm afraid I'd regret it. :-/. So maybe you're brave, not crazy! :-)
  15. ^ that's the best way. Stay within your budget and buy little by little. Your collection will grow quickly! Definitely peruse used music shops. You'll find cheap treats pretty frequently there!
  16. Im so confused. Not really. Maybe amused?
  17. Hey, if you're comfortable with eBay, there are several up for auction and buy it now sales. If you don't eBay, I can get one for you. Most seem to be going for $15-$30 USC, but I can probably get at the low end. I've had decent luck shipping anywhere from the US to Canada, England, Russia, and Australia, so am pretty confident I can get it to you safely, but not sure how much it would cost. Priority mail without insurance can be pretty cheap, but you take your chances. Registered is a bit much, but you can usually track it to your doorstep. Must want to be sure it's cost effective for you. :-) Anyway, PM me if I can help!
  18. Out of curiosity, is there any collector here that did NOT get their hands on a RSD vinyl? Completely unconfirmed, but I might wind up with an extra. Seems like between eBay and local shops, everyone got one, but want to be sure. I have one set aside for someone, but if i get the other extra, I want to be sure my collector friends are covered.
  19. Yow! Still went for a steal! Sorry you lost out, though. :-(. They seem to be coming up quite frequently, so definitely snag the next one! :-)
  20. Hmmm...checked my sheet, and I only have it down that I own one, but I'll double check later. If it turns out I have a second, I'll let you know.
  21. How's he sending it? To be fair, it did cost me $38 to send CDs registered with tracking the last couple times I sent over seas. But it should be about $17 without tracking.
  22. This is cool! I had posted a CP collectors guide on eBay years ago, and often get messages with questions. I always happily answer, then refer people to this specific forum and to the most fantastic coldplaydiscography site around (you know which one!). :-)
  23. Received one of those Brazilian Charlie Brown pro's. Still can't verify its authenticity, but it doesn't look fake. Anyone got any info?
  24. Here you go: http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c222/9102/?action=view¤t=0fb2d6b6.jpg&evt=user_media_share Sealed copy looks like this.
  25. Hey, let us know if it s special combo or similar. Sounds like its gatefold vinyl packaging, like doritji said, but always good to have confirmation!
