Recently volunteered to be a St Baldrick's shavee to raise money to fight children's cancer. Anyone else participated in one of these? I hear they have functions everywhere. Curious what the experience was like.

Don't do the loan. Sounds like an easy fix, but it's not. With interest, you'll pay a lot more than the amount you're presently in debt. Buckle down pay what you can. Banks are not forgiving and can ruin your credit if you're late on a payment, etc... This can effect your ability to purchase a car, rent an apartment or even get some jobs later down the road. I have excellent credit, but am also quite in debt. I've stopped spending promiscuously, and put all my surplus toward my debts. Paying slowly, but surely. Remember, the tortoise wins! :-)

I've been lucky (knock on wood) shipping to Italy, but it's pretty expensive. I've read the post system is gettin better, but a lot of sellers have had huge issues with packages going missing. I've only sent twice, both registered/insured, but it's like $25+ :-/. But Italy doesn't suck! Food is wonderful and looks beautiful!

Sweet stuff!!! Just got the US press, hopefully the EU one soon. But I did finally find a CB us pro (yay!) and a Virgin KCRW for $5 (I already have one, but $5!!!!! Couldn't let it just sit there for that price!).

Anyone know for sure, Charlie Brown promos have been distributed in EU, US and Japan? (still looking for the Us one if anyone have any leads!). Thanks!

Never had that big of a problem sending or receiving them. Did they maybe pack them too tight? Always best to space them with a piece of cardboard and use a good bubble mailer, but leave em a little room to move about, else they take the brunt of any impact together. If yours came busted up, I'd def contact the seller and let them know to pack better in the future. Get slims from Japan and Australia all the time that arrive mint!

Label is listed as "pride", not EMI. See the presale in a couple shops. Sure it's legal, but looks like another unofficial bio/compilation.

Good question; it's been receiving airplay here, but I don't see any presale opportunities for a single release anywhere. There's been an EU, US and Japanene promo that I'm aware of; guess its still just a wait and see!

You gotta use markets like eBay, GEMM, musicstack, eil, and other online shops. When independent music shops were more prevelant, pro's were easy to find locally (or through mail order), but shopping for them online is virtually a 'must' now. Are there specific ones you're looking for? I can send some links your way if I come across them in my searches. :-)

You can probably find a new/used great condition copy of any record for $5 or less without trying very hard. Mylo still might be $7-$8, but just doing a quick eBay peek, I found several $0.99 copies of Parachutes, AROBTTH, and X&Y. I'd hold up, get a few bucks together, and hit a new/used music shop, or Amazon's marketplace or ebay. You're bound to get spectacular deals! ;-) Good luck!

^^ don't do it! Depending in the shop, you'll pay premium. Grab any major release for super cheap at any used cd shop or online.

^^ thanks for the heads up on the US Charlie pro. Got the UK pro early on and finally have the Japanese pro on the way. Haven't sent any US's about (least not yet). Great find! Nah, shops get them the same way you and I do. Pro's are distributed to various agencies, and those that receive them oftentimes sell them. If you're looking for cds distributed for sale, you can find them anywhere (tho I'm sure you knew that). If you establish a good reputation with a seller, many will offer rarer items to you, before listing them to the public. Hope this helps somewhat. :-/

Saw that up on eBay a bit ago! Researched the hell out of it, but really couldn't find a whole lot. I did learn that it's probably not a bootleg. See a few The Hit Factory produced vinyls out there for other bands, but the price points vary from £38-£110, seemingly depending on the band and length of the record (couple track Depeche Mode was low, a full length Pere Ubu was on the high end). Found no other CP copy. I definitely think the CP vinyl is real, and not a high production bootleg, but I never learned why is was made. Doesn't seem like a pre-production acetate, but didn't think any radio DJs spun vinyl anymore. I wanted to pull the trigger on this so bad, but just couldn't justify the price point with the lack of info. If anyone knows more, I'm extremely curious!
