  1. The extra pass sold, so this post is moot. :-/

Search coldplaydiscographyguide.com Some great scans up there; doritji has put together an awesome site. Otw, who's the seller? There are several that often deal CP who are reputable.
  3. Definitely no early check-in (they all learned after the first year). You can dump your bags with concierge, though. I get in line around 3, and there's usually a decent line going already (but not terrible). Some just wait and check-in late, after the last show, so you'd be fine with that too.
  4. Yes! :-). ...I'm 99% sure! :-)
  5. How can people not find a job? Depends on the industry. My uncle worked thirty years for Intermatic, before they moved all manufacturing overseas. Took him awhile before he found a new one. No PD, FD, PW or general public sector jobs here. Probably depends on your field, no?
  6. If anyone is going to be here for the three days or if you get here early Friday, definitely consider doing breakfast at the Bongo Room. Corner of Wabash and Roosevelt; you'll probably wait in line, but you most definitely won't regret it.
  7. I got the Amazon.com 7" that they listed as "Capitol," the CD is definitely Capitol (got mine from Amazon), but the 7" is still the EU Parlophone release. Figured as such, but wanted to put it out there.
  8. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=260824821649 Here's one (sorry about the mobileweb address).
  9. Oh yeah! I have my fingers crossed, but I'm guessing the LPs will all be Parlophone. Guess we'll know soon enough! If it makes it easier, I know Amazon.com has the US CD release for sale. Funny I purchased my EU CD and LP from Amazon.de! :-)
  10. That's nothing. You want to be truly scared? Find some of the videos where Jay Leno walks around asking questions of the general public.
  11. Think I saw a thread in the Lounge about typing with your elbow. Maybe that's more your speed?
  12. There's definitely a Capitol US cardsleeve. Just got it the other day. I have the "Capitol" LP on the way (I'll verify it's actually Capitol and not an Amazon snafu). The back of the US cardsleeve looks the same as the EU, but instead of the Parlophone logo, it has the obligatory anti-piracy logo, then Capitol and "Music from EMI" printed on the back. I'll let you know about the LP asap! :-) My Internet is down (using my phone now) but I can scan it for you when I get my new modem (hopefully tomorrow). :-)
  13. Weird! I literally followed your instructions to the T! Maybe it's being finicky? If it means anything, processing and shipping was pretty fast from them, if you can get it to work. (I hope!)
  14. I have three main CD racks, but have two small racks where I store some cardsleeves. Rarer cardsleeves go into aluminum CD cases paired with slimline cases. Tall digipaks get stacked or shelved between book ends.
  15. I'm with you on this. But I'm curious, if I actively collect music catalogs for my enjoyment, AND enjoy the music, all while being fortunate enough to collect AND spend money on gigs, then I'm also apparently not a collector. So, what are we?
  16. It's a tough call. "Sealed" means a lot, but when dealing with any card sleeve or record sleeve, remember that the plastic will continue to shrink, and will eventually begin to damage the edges of the sleeve. I keep my stuff sealed, until I start to note any bending, then slice the plastic along one edge.
  17. So I see this on Amazon.ca https://www.amazon.ca/Every-Teardrop-Waterfall-7-Single/dp/B0052RUZ1K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1311312550&sr=8-2 It's the 7" single, but the description stated it's distributer is EMI Music Canada. The CD single says the same. Amazon.UK clearly lists the 7" as distributed by Parlophone. Can anyone verify whether the 7" released in Canada is actually marked differently than the EU release? I've learned the CD does state "Made in Canada" and "distributed by EMI Music Canada", curious if the record does as well?
  18. I was playing with the "Group Text" feature in the official Lolla app. Looks like people can be added to a group using just an email address, so no one needs to hand over a phone number. Anyhow, I created a group (CP) and also DL'd the GroupMe app, so I'd receive push notifications instead of texts. Apparently, I can send an invitation to anyone via email, the recipient chooses to "join group," and im guessing it verifies you're real? Dunno, I'm still new to a lot of this tech stuff. Anyway, if you're interested, reply here or PM me whatever email addy you'd like, and I can send an invite. This way we're not tossing out personal contact information, etc.. But anyone can "live chat" or whichever during the Lolla weekend. I'll keep the group open through that Sunday, then kill it.
  19. Bullying has always happened and will always happen. It will happen to a child, it even happens to adults. We can demand bullies stop bullying; a tactic which rarely works, or we can instill in our kids the strength and understanding to believe words have only the power you give to them. This is a sad story, and the bully needs to be held accountable for his/her actions, but s/he cannot be wholly blamed or punished for the actual loss. I'm sure there are several factors at play here which are left unmentioned by the press.

Do volunteer work with an organization that interests you. I used to walk dogs and help run off site events for an animal shelter. It was fun, and I met several people of all ages. Most people find their cause near and dear to their hearts, so as an added bonus, you'll have an immediate topic of conversation. BTW, I was shy growing up, but it gets easier. Get out there; you might surprise yourself! :-)
  21. It'll definitely be humid, but not unbearable. Water water water. No booze, water! :-). Make sure you chow too (great food there). Some people bring those little portable battery operated fans or spray bottles to mist themselves. I've been fine by dressing light and staying hydrated. Not much shade by the main stages in past years, tho. Just an FYI.
  22. BTW, I heard rumor about a canadian ETIAW cd release. Amazomn.ca mentions an import of the Cd for sale, and the few listenings on Canada eBay list EU and US promos and general CDs, but nothing mentioned specific to a Canadian release. Any further info? Want to glom onto one of these. Thanks
  23. Strangely fairly priced! eIL is a great shop, but the retain my love when they sell a few things for a fair price...or before they've realized they should launch it, :-) Looks like a few on eBay will go for about $10. Close!
