  1. I'm looking forward to it. It's different, and it'll be fun before Coldplay come on. Personally, I prefer them to Jay-Z, and I'm going to have a good dance at Wembley next year. They're not going to detract from Coldplay's performance at all, so that's not a problem in the slightest. And I've sat through enough of Coldplay's other poor, poor choices for support bands (including that stupid DJ and his cartoon this week) to know that they don't make a blind bit of difference to how much I enjoy Coldplay on stage. And if it means more people in the bar while they're on, I've got less people between me and the stage then ;)
  2. I just got a couple, can't believe they were still available at half 11. On another note, I don't want to sound like I'm moaning - I'm not coz I understand all the excitement of it all for sure - but why are you guys planning to queue so early? At Foos last summer, people weren't queueing til half way through the day of the gig and still had no probems getting to the front. I think that you're going to have problems queueing for saturday on the friday - I don't think that security is going to make it possible for you to do it. They were particularly arsey at Foos, and I just don't want anyone to get pushed on by security when there's no need.
  3. Yeah, Birmingham tickets have been sent out already. We got ours a couple of weeks ago. Strange tbh, I wasn't expecting them at all until November at the earliest.
  4. No standing, all seats.
  5. Agreed. These are the earliest tickets I've got for anything these days, and I wasn't even expecting them until mid-November.
  6. Both of ours came at the same time. My friend sent me a picture of them :p
  7. Yaay! Tickets arrived today :) I'm impressed they've come out so early to be honest, but at least avoids the stress of not having them 2 weeks beforehand.
  8. Same here, well except for the VIP bit :p They've always been great.
  9. Well, that's it. What's the point of a discussion board if we're not going to discuss anything? :p There are so many people willing to state an opinion without explaining, it make a refreshing change to see a thread where people are willing to discuss like this. I like to know why people think the way they do, whichever opinion they may have.
  10. Agreed. It's not just this board though, it happens all over the place, so it just shows how common it is :p
  11. Bath 2003.
  12. Think I'd stab my ears out if the Kooks played. I really can't stand them, and live, they're just boring. Sorry. Maximo Park would be pretty awesome though.
  13. No, I don't think so either. I'd love to see someone like Idlewild again, because they're always great.
  14. Nope - the Editors are supporting REM on their european tour this summer. So I suppose it'll be more that they don't want to do a supporting tour again, than that they won't support.
  15. Editors and MGMT would suit me down to the ground.
  16. Thanks for the link :)
  17. Most of my pictures from a Coldplay gig a few years ago have got the security guard in them :p He was cool and offered to get us Pizza (only slightly jokingly :D ) If you're on the barrier, it may work, but other than that it is really, really pointless as it does nothing except illuminate the back of the person's head in front of you. Plus if, like my camera, it takes 9 years to recharge in between pictures, then it's even more pointless.
  18. I used to buy tour tees all the time, but I think the prices are a little steep these days. The last gig I was at, shirts were £20, but the material was so thin, you could almost see through them. I'm not going to pay that much for a shirt anymore, which is a shame.
  19. Yeah - it also depends on how evil security are feeling as well. You get a lot of highend digital cameras which are really nice and look like they should have a detachable lens. I think they're a definite no when going to gigs.
  20. Yep, agreed. Michael Stipe is one of the worst dancers ever :p But when he's up there and dancing around, you know he's enjoying himself, and that's the best thing for a frontman to be doing when he's playing live.
  21. I won't laugh ;) To be fair, that type of concert is really going to test the limits of sound and vision in a venue more than a normal rock gig. Not Cpldplay this year because it's too close to Christmas, but my friend and I are looking forward to seeing something there.
  22. I've never had my camera taken off me. It's just a point and click jobbie, but no one's every really said anything. I was once asked if it was a 'normal camera', which it is, but that's it. As long as you don't take in anything that looks even remotely professional (ie. big lens) then you should be fine.
  23. Lol Have the 02 got you on advertising commission :D
  24. Sounds interesting. I knew there had to be some reason for the seats - maybe something like this. Acoustic stage in the middle? Copying the Foos now :p

As long as you check it's a legit site first, you should have no problems.
