Damien Rice is an amazing singer/songwriter who imo doesnt get anywhere near the credit he's due for his work. His album "O" remains a constant favourite in my cd collection, there's not a weak track on it. Athlete are another very talented but largely underrated band imo.

I saw Richard Ashcroft live for the first time when i went to see Coldplay at Earl's Court in December. He was superb. He sang some of The Verve's old material like The Drugs Dont Work, Sonnet and Bittersweet Symphony, which i've always liked anyway but live they were just amazing. He also a song from the new album called Words Just Get In The Way. I also really like his new single Break The Night With Colour so i'm thinking of getting his new album now :blush: I'm also waiting for my copy of Urban Hymns to arrrive, from what i've heard it's an amazing album so i can't wait! :D

Seeing Coldplay live at Earl's Court on 16th Dec - my very first Coldplay concert and they completely blew me away, they totally rocked! Best concert i've ever been to, i'm now desperate to see them again! :D

Saw Richard Ashcroft live for the first time on 16th Dec when i went to see Coldplay at Earl's Court. As support acts go i thought he was bloody awesome. I've always liked some of The Verve's songs like Bittersweet Symphony (loved their duet of it with Coldplay at Live 8 :D ), Sonnet and The Drugs Don't Work but live they're just amazing. I've just ordered The Verve's album Urban Hymns online :) I also loved this song he did called Words Just Get In The Way and i love the new single Break The Night With Colour. I'm thinking of getting his new album next month now. Unfortunately i can't download the tracks someone put up on this thread though cos i can't use rapidshare :(

That is a bloody hard question. Why are we only allowed to take music by two bands with us? Couldn't we take two comipilation cd's with us instead? OK, i'd probably have to go for Coldplay and Will Young :)

I have to agree with that i'm afraid. I was also really disappointed by Demon Days by Gorillaz. I still love Dare and Feel Good Inc but the album as a whole is shite imo.
