I'm glad everyone now knows what the LA people have been raving about. THAT live version is incredible. Seriously, I like the studio, but live it's 100 times better. That guitar, wow, just wow.

Oh man.... that live version they just played on Jools Holland, THAT'S what I remember from the Sony taping. So much gorgeous guitar and Chris' vocals are great. Love, love, love it live.

Even with the EDM elements I really like this song. I will say however, I absolutely LOVE the live version I heard which had less EDM in it. I can't wait to hear that version again.

I think MX is Coldplay's weakest album, and I think Paradise is maybe my least favorite song on that album. However, I instantly connected with ASFOS so you never know.

The new songs sound so gorgeous live. I cannot wait to hear ASFOS again.

I was going refrain from listening to the live stream, but A Sky Full of Stars is beckoning me. I've been needing to hear it again ever since the Sony show. I love that song so very much.

Each new song I hear gets me more and more excited about this album. This song is exquisite.

Those promo show ticket prices seem pretty normal to me. Coldplay is a huge band, and the venues they are playing are much smaller than normal. The demand will be through the roof. Frankly, given that I just paid $75 to see Arctic Monkeys in an arena, $125 for Coldplay in a small venue is a bargain. The secondary market will be crazy for the show unless it's ticketless.

I think this album will be darker lyrically. My all time favorite album is about the breakup of a marriage, Achtung Baby. I have a feeling this Coldplay album will compete with Parachutes and AROBTTH for favorite Coldplay album.

I wish I could remember actual lyrics, but this is a darker love song. The impression I got after the show on Saturday is that this album was written during a dark time in Chris' relationship. The separation news was not extremely surprising.

I didn't get EDM from it. It's piano driven at the onset then just gets bigger. But I completely agree on True Love. It's a ballad, but it's got dark lyrics.

While I can't quite remember the lyrics, I do remember thinking during True Love that it was dark, as were the other songs. I think that's why this news isn't that surprising. I'm glad that it doesn't seem acrimonious and that they seem to be getting along for the kids. Also, the description of some of the narrative for the DVD/NBC Special was also on the dark side.

This has the potential to be one of my all time favorite Coldplay songs. I don't remember the last time I had such an immediate reaction to a song. I think the band were taken aback by it. Heck Phil came in after and asked them to play it again since the audience reaction was so strong. I'm really curious to hear the studio version. I have hope after hearing studio versus live of Midnight and Magic that this one won't be overdone in the studio.

Someone at the taping today asked about Outside Lands. Chris answered that they were sticking to these smaller shows for a little while. I imagine we will get some more promo shows soon.

Since this was to pick up shots they didn't get yesterday, we didn't hear every new song, no Ink or Ocean. Of the new, new songs, stars and True love. I can't say enough good things about Stars. It has the potential to be one of my very favorite live Coldplay songs. I can't wait to hear it again. True Love is a ballad, I think it's a bit dark lyrically and it's in the same restrained vein as the other new songs I heard. There is a distinct sound to this album and it's a sound I happen to adore. (Full disclosure: MX is my least favorite album and a big reason why is I thought it was just too much so I love the change in direction.) Always in my Head was performed as it was during iTunes fest. I really love the stripped down sound they have moved to for GS. Another's arms, also same as iTunes with Chris at piano and projections of women under water. it is also another darker song lyrically.

There seems to be a narrative thread throughout. They mentioned shooting non performance scenes, including him diving in the water and the band wandering looking for something. Specifically, between Another's Arms, they leave then come back for the joy that is Sky Full of Stars. For Magic, the filmed the band playing with the soundstage empty, then there was going to be a super close up of Chris and the crowd will "magically" appear. I really can't wait to see how this turns out.

I've never seen anything like it. The crowd went nuts for a song they had never heard. It was classic big Coldplay.

Chris got all Pink during I think Always in my Head. He was in a harness to look like he was flying. It was so cool. The concept behind the DVD is neat.

Yeah, it was essentially like the show last night but with starts and stops for specific shots. We got to hear Stars twice since we reacted so well to it. It's amazing. Chris was hilarious today. He is the best "warm up man" ever. They opened with Paradise, then played the new album, then closed with Clocks and The Scientist by request. The DVD will be amazing. Chris was explaining the concepts behind the visuals and there will be other non-performance clips included. I am so freaking happy right now. Ended up front row behind Will and with a dead on view of the piano. Still recovering from having Chris sing right at me.

I have priority. For Kimmel, if you are there early, it's great. They keep everyone in one line then separate when they scan tickets and wristband. Not sure if it will be the same for this. And that news makes me so happy!!
