Nah, we're pretty lucky with those sort of crimes. I remember going on holiday to Florida last year and whenever I watched the news it was headed by a new shooting, then we went to a mall and found guns on sale on the supermarket shelves, which was pretty odd. I know people need a license to buy them, but seeing them on the shelves in a shop, not even locked in boxes and stuff. Very strange! :s

Last night on BBC1 in the UK. They did Nude and half of 15 Step before the BBC Announcer talked over the end and then cut it off! I wasn't best pleased, although the version of 15 Step wasn't even close to Nude quality wise.

I don't think I've ever seen a cop with a gun in the uk! They just have those batton things, and their stab-proof vests! That image of the 2pound coin isn't much good, its much more two toned, silver and gold in real life. Although I actually found a gold proof of one of the Commonwealth Games 2 pound coins in my change the other day, provided I can get it authenticated, they say its worth several hundred pounds!!! :o Time will tell if thats real, but I really hope so :p

This was possibly the best live performance I've seen on Jonathon Ross. Stunning. He nailed those notes as well :D

ooh, another Muse Convert :D you have many many good times ahead of you my friend. Truly a classic album, the first album that the kind guys & girls on this board advised me to listen to, and I've been hooked ever since ;)

The design on the 2 pound coin changes every year. these are the old coins, i forgot lots of you won't be familiar with the UK currency.

Maybe try some of their new album, In Rainbows (15 Step, All I Need, Nude, Reckoner & Jigsaw Falling into PLace). Lots of the stuff you mention above is easily accessible, so many In Rainbows would be a good next step. When you're ready, Kid A. But not too soon, you don't wanna ruin it for yourself. But be warned, its incredible ;)

From the middle of this year, the UK Royal Mint will begin introducing the new coinage into the currency. I don't know what you guys think, but I reckon this lot looks pretty cool to me!! By them selves they don't look like much, but when they're put together, you get: Pretty cool huh?

Yeah, its hard to believe why a record store would ditch records completely. I mean okay, we can order it all online, but there's something nice about going in to town on the day of the latest radiohead single release and picking up a shiny new 7" of the track. I'm very keen on the artwork on cd's and stuff as well, so getting it four times bigger on a vinyl is another incentive. My local HMV have even reduced the amount of space for singles, so instead of an entire wall, we have about two shelves, which is about enough to put a few r'n'b singles and some other popular stuff, but nothing which really appeals to me anymore. :(

Nope, just found it in HMV, they had all the vinyls with those low numbers as well, but this was before I heard the album and really started to like Elbow so I didn't buy them. Now the powers that be have decided t-shirts and books are more important that actual records in a record store, so they've stopped selling vinyl. :( As far as I'm aware, that means there isn't a single shop in Cornwall that sells vinyl. :(

Yeah, the soundbites sound really exciting!!! Its hard to decide on the sound they're going for on this album, they originally said they were goning to try and go back to the more basic sound of H&F, which I think I'd prefer to the more ocmplicated sound of UTIS. Not that UTIS isn't good, because its amazing. I think think H&F was even more amazing-er!!!

Thinking About You and You deserve to win this, given they are the two better tracks on that album.

Everytime I'm in a charity shop or at the car boot sale I look for these sort of old singles. Best i found so far was a bunch of older Stereophonics stuff. But one day I'll find the complete radiohead back catalogue of singles in a charity shop for a fiver. Ever the optimist!
