  1. She likes it but Salt water has T.wat in the middle so would be censored
  2. I've gone off that type of music altogether really. I think America is doing now what we were doing a few years ago though, good music is actually starting to break through, like I said, so much exciting stuff coming out. A band I like which I actually thought were British are Australian...haha But yeah like I said, should be a lot more good British stuff next year, if not for you then for me personally.
  3. I think 2010 will be a good year for us though, kicking off with a new Good Shoes album in January :nice:
  4. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk_vSxIdZLs]YouTube- Polvo - Lucia[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J44kvmK1w6I]YouTube- Portico Quartet - Paper Scissor Stone[/ame]
  5. I can listen to something and just not like it, my brain doesn't really put into words the technical details of why they aren't for me, I just don't like it.
  6. Well in my mind you shouldn't need to justify not liking a band, it's just either you like them or you don't.
  7. hahaha noooo I was making a joke, never mind. Indie isn't a genre, anything labeled as indie tends to be generic and boring guitar music.
  8. Yeah the Office does count, since the British version was 2 seasons (which tbh are way better than the American equivalent) but it's such a soul crushing show in the end because they are all ultimately stuck in this job living a life they don't want, the American version is so uplifting and cute, they are really different shows, Pam and Jim are just <3 :nice: Well Stephen Colbert is awesome, so is Jon Stewart actually (when he's not just looking at news stories and shouting "WHAT THE FUCK?!") his massive attack on NBC (or whatever) was amazing.
  9. I'm so indie I've never even heard of this mainstream "Owl City" band.
  10. The German episode is a bit cliché for me thanks to over-quoting </3 British comedy is amazing though, I've just had a think. Pretty much anything Chris Morris is genius. Check out (if you haven't already) Brass Eye, it's just brilliant satire.
  11. Oh right, yeah Fawlty Towers is pretty classic, I watched it recently and it's actually a lot funnier than I expected it to be (having seen it as a child and liked it) I just expected it to be really dated and unfunny, but Basil has some amazing lines. Yeah I mean like modern music though, there's really not much going on over here. But you have such diverse and interesting bands emerging from America right now, examples being Yeasayer who just leaked their 2nd album and it's so fresh and exciting, nothing like it is being made in England.
  12. Well not necessarily since I kinda hate the majority of people, I like where I live in Newcastle it's pretty perfect, I live in the suburbs, so on one side there is countryside and on the other is the city, I'd like to have that kind of situation if I lived elsewhere too, but tbh where I live I can pretty much access anything I want, I'd hate to have the opposite where you have to travel a long way to get somewhere.
  13. My favourite TV shows ever are Arrested Development (USA), Lost (USA) + Neon Genesis Evangelion (Japan) Music, our music scene is so shit lately, nothing that exciting coming through, the American music scene however is producing some amazing stuff. I can understand why you'd like our history though, even if we were absolute ****s to the world. and I do love our appetite for misery
  14. To be honest I really like England but I actually wouldn't be against living in somewhere like Boston, New York, Chicago, Washington, those kinda places in America.
  15. I don't get Anglophiles, what's so fascinating about Engerland, really?
  16. Sleep does not exist when it's deadline day.
  17. Yeah the stage you are going through now, I had a long time ago, I was genuinely baffled that he could be a normal member of society and shocked at the way he goes on, but at the time I realised that nobody else seemed to say anything or agree with what I was saying so I just gave up on that and resorted to laughing at how pathetic he is he is beyond help in my opinion, can you actually imagine him sitting down with a psychiatrist and agreeing when they point out his issues "You're just biased!" he'd announce
  18. I actually just ate a crumpet and now I am drinking tea I'm more British than you.
