  1. Time Is Running Out STOCKHOLM SYNDROME FTW
  2. The fact that you are doing this for OoS? It scares the hell out of me.
  3. 8.123456789100000000000000000000000000. Things I Don't Understand
  4. Radiohead are a thinking man's rock band. In regards to lyrics anyways. Coldplay songs are not difficult to write. Coldplay were hailed as the next Radiohead when Radiohead had done all that sort of stuff and moved on. Change things, but do not split your fanbase. As hard as that is to do (Kid A), it is what Coldplay must do for LP4. @ coldplayismygod: Yeah, so maybe HTTT wasn't a reinvention, but more of a bringing together of Kid A, Amnesiac and their earlier records.
  5. FALLING AWAY IS FALLING AWAY FROM THIS COMPETITION. But Oh my God I am dreading round 6.
  6. No. Thou shalt not eliminate Apocalypse Please. Not yet. Endlessly was my choice. It's getting hard now.
  7. Coldplay: Have not evolved their sound much over three albums Used to write good lyrics, now I don't know what to think Run away screaming from unusual song structures and odd time signatures. Although there is the Prospekt of this changing... vs Radiohead: Have re-invented themselves each time they release an album. Thom's lyrics are brilliant, sometimes topical, sometimes emotional, always meaningful. Well, yeah, Paranoid Android. To summarise: Coldplay are a poor man's Radiohead, although I do love both.
  8. Falling Away With You. Blackout? Oh please no. Not this round.
  9. Idlewild - You Held The World In Your Arms.
  10. AIRBAG IS LOSING! Heathens. It gets tricky here. Subterranean Homesick Alien's my pick. I like the other songs a whole lot more.
  11. Aye, think I might do that.
  12. British Sea Power - Waving Flags. It's been like this for a week.
  13. Argh. I need to buy the standard release of In Rainbows on vinyl. My discbox ones aren't playing right.
  14. www.myspace.com/puressence www.puressence.co.uk New album, "Don't Forget To Remember", is available here. If you like it, you should work backwards from there, through "Planet Helpless" and "Only Forever" to "Puressence" If anyone wants links to any of the albums, give me a PM. Puressence and Only Forever have been deleted, so scout around for a good price. Or do eBay if that's your thing. Planet Helpless and the new one are readily available. Has anybody else heard of them? Criminally underrated band.
  15. Didn't even need to be edited in my opinion. Just skips the intro.
  16. Or Parachutes 4.0. Yes. I went there. I don't really think their sound has evolved that much over the last 7 years. OK, so each album had a central instrument: Parachutes - Acoustic guitar Rush Of Blood - Piano X&Y - Electric guitarbut there hasn't really been that much progression to be quite honest. Plus Chris really needs to work on his lyrics. Swallowed In The Sea and The Hardest Part were fucking cringeworthy. Coldplay aren't really doing it as much for me anymore, maybe because my horizons have seriously been broadened since X&Y. For our sake and theirs, LP4 has to be a success (both musically and commercially, although I know the latter is assured), or I fear the backlash among their fanbase will be even worse than X&Y. However, I respect them as musicians and will gladly buy the new album whenever it is released. Furthermore, I do not expect them to go away and dream it all up again (as Bono said at the start of 1990), but I think they know that the time has come to adjust their sound. Sorry if I'm being harsh, and I know this will ruffle a few feathers, but I had to say this sometime. Bring on the backlash, Martin.

    Yep.
  18. I'm relatively new to BSP. Good grief, how good is the new record? Breakthrough album, definitely. Lights Out For Darker Skies is a tune.
  19. British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music?
  20. :laugh3: I've heard about this too. I don't know what to think to be honest.
  21. Future Kings of Spain - S/T, Nervousystem Sigur Rós - Takk...
  22. Fury, Crying Shame, Eternally Missed, Thoughts of A Dying Atheist (such a good song), Glorious, City of Delusion, Exo-Politics (yes, I like it), Darkshines, Easily.... I could go on.
