I just find the studio version of sardines pretty dull, nothing really happens... I don't see it as a very good opener Revolving Doors or the Amazing Sound of Orgy would have been far better in my opinion, or the live version of Packt like Sardines, which is great, much more energy which seems to fit the song better. Maths fox or badger?

The songs on Amnesiac are probably individually better than most of Kid A's, but Kid A is a kind of perfect 50 minutes of sound. If you can get past Sardines on Amnesiac without getting bored, the rest is great. In Kid A the songs all complement and blur into each other, but with amnesiac there is a huge contrast between tracks, which makes it seem slightly disjointed and seem not like a 'real' album. I imagine Amnesiac was also meant just as a way of releasing those great songs without Kid A having B-sides.

There was some game made after the last major one wasn't there? This is kinda sad. In regards to pearl harbour, maybe it's because I'm not American, but surely it's no worse than any other war based game?

There are alot of similarities, but I wouldn't call it a rip off. They have a comperable rythmn and sound very similar at the start of, and for most of the final climax of each song. I doubt that Twisted Logic is a direct rip off though, for one thing the subject matter seems completely different, it also seems to be a song with much more emphasis on the message than the music, which I think was built around the words. I can see why you'd say that though.

After that horrible cheesy video someone made for it, proof. Just going by sound, probably a whisper, it seems kind of soulless.

I don't think the band or EMI or anyone ever said they would, just journalists. It doesn't really matter to me if they don't - listening to an entire LP of stuff you've never heard before is just as good as hearing the new songs early.
