If you sniff it, then how is my heart gonna get put back together? That wouldn't be cool if you chose to sniff the glue instead of mend my heart. Oh. I'm getting sad just thinking about it. My, broken hearted, watching V sniff the glue ... feeling the pain well in my chest as she's sniffing away. No. Not cool. Don't do it, Noni. I didn't know your heart needed to be put back... But I got the glue and I'll use it if you need it. You know I was just joking. I'm not gonna sniff it. I only need a drug, and it's not glue...

That wouldn't be cool if you chose to sniff the glue instead of mend my heart. Oh. Awww! hahaha that would be terrible!! awwwwwwwwwww poor Richard lol I have this vision of my sitting on one side of a busy city street. Across the traffic, on the opposite sidewalk, stands Noni, bottle of glue in hand, queer smile on her face. At first I'm excited. She's finally come to put my heart back together! For a moment, the pain that's been plaguing me for years dissipates. Anticipation takes over. A large freight truck passes, obscurring my view temporarily. Flashes of colored paint from the truck's side panel artwork give way to the re-vision of Noni. This time her smile is not queer and she's no longer just holding the glue bottle. The pain in my chest shoots back, and I take a step forward to go and convince her of the mistake. "No, Noni!" I would say. "You don't realize what you're going!" But I stop after one step, realizing the traffic is too heavy. Another freight truck passes, but this time my head turns to follow it. To my right I see no intersections, no stop lights. The only thing I see is traffic coming, traffic going. I turn my head to the left: Same thing. Buildings, cars, asphault and traffic. And Noni across the street sniffing away. The tears form in my eyes and I sit on the curb, elbows on my knees as my feet plant themselves in the gutter. My chin in my palms, hands cupped on the sides of my face, I sit and stare at my love sniff, sniff, sniffing away my last chance at a mended heart. Love will never be for me again. My love has chosen the glue over us. Where are the kings horses and kings men when you need them? :stunned: Oh my!! I'm gonna contract you as script writer!! When I was reading I had the sequence in my mind!!

I don't think a better english would make people understand you better. When someone wanna understand something the 'perfect' grammar isn't strictly necessary. Communication is more than this. I suppose people don't understand your humour or your point of view. I suppose.
  4. Aaaaaaaaaaw, Ren, my little brother, you're so sweeeeeeeeet!! But I must tell you that this isn't the gig I was. Mine was on October and that setlist is from May, when they did 2 gigs for the european presentation of OK Computer. But I really appreciate the detail. Thaaaaaanks for thinking of me!!

BUT IT WOULD BE LIKE ME WRITING PERFECT ENGLISH! NOT THE SAME NONI! Writing in a perfect english is different. It's a skill, you have to work it. The caps is something you can change in a moment. Anyways none is gonna tell you nothing about your english, because we aren't native-speakers.

Could I say my opinion too? Ok. I don't like caps but I'm not gonna do a big deal about it. But... if a lot of people say that the caps are annoying the person who uses it should think about it. I mean, what if now I start to post using a lot of sweard words. Or posting just in spanish. I could say that I do it because I want and I don't care about you. But that's not the point of a messageboard. This is a little comunity and you should hear the opinions of everyone and, at least, think about it.

Eeeeeep, new Travis newsletter. I'll post it here in case of someone doesn't have it. Dear All, Travis are currently approaching the end of a three week tour of Canada, the US and Mexico. Between US dates they also paid a visit to the radio station- KCRW, as guests of Nic Harcourt on the show "Morning Becomes Eclectic". Travis' first appearance on this show was way back in 1997, with their first album Good Feeling and they have returned on a regular basis ever since. KCRW host an excellent archive of all these appearances, including the real video stream of the show from January 29th this year, which features an interview and live session. You can view this at: http://www.kcrw.com/cgi-bin/db/kcrw.pl?show_code=mb&air_date=1/29/04&tmplt_type=show The session features songs from 12 Memories and The Invisible Band plus a cover of Graham Nash's Another Sleep Song. UK NEWS: U16 GIRLS SURFBOARD AT THE ICA The surfboard featured on Travis' single U16 Girls is travelling to the ICA this February as part of an exhibition of the artwork of John Squire. Squire's artwork became one of the defining images of the 'Madchester' movement, gracing the cover of The Stone Roses debut album and all the single sleeves. As far as we know Travis are the only band to have a sleeve designed by John Squire, other than The Stone Roses & The Seahorses. The exhibition runs from 14th-16th Feb. ICA, The Mall, London.
