Guess who I met today???

Oh my god. That was absolutely unbelievable. I was right in front of Guy again. Did you hear the djs say "here's someone who's been singing along to every song even the new stuff?". That was me! Then he stuck the mic in my face. LOL I gave a gift to Will - a hat that I'd knitted. He took a picture with me. I got autographs from Jonny, Will and Chris. Got a few winks and smiles from Chris and Guy. So so so much fun. We spoke to Hoppy for a few minutes and he gave me Chris' pick. I went up to Matt McGinn and told him I read his book. He thanked me and asked if I liked it. He gave me a few picks. I saw Bash and he gave me a drumstick. Best Coldplay day EVER! I need to go through my pictures and I will post them. Just incredible. Today was amazing. I won tickets from coldplay.com to see Coldplay perform on the Ellen DeGeneres show. There were 65 of us surrounding Coldplay's stage - it was a small stage with a center ramp extending into the audience. I was right in front of Guy, right against the stage. Oh My Gosh...with an amazing view of Will. Pure awesome-ness. I've never been that close to home when he's playing. Wow. It was just unbelievable. And I get to see the again in a few hours :) This time, I can take pictures, and I'll try to have a few of Will. ;) Another very very small venue, holding maybe 75. I can't sleep or wait!

Wow. Just wow. The Ellen show was just surreal. We got there early and were led to the Riff Raff room (which is where the overflow people wait - her show is always overbooked) We watched her show on monitors in the room and Justin Timberlake was her guest. That was funny. Then she brought out Chris and Jonny to interview because Chris said "Will and Guy were too shy." Good interview, the usual questions we have heard before. She asked about Gwyneth and he answered them the way he usually does. There were 65 of us for the Coldplay portion of the show, so they had us come out during one of the commercial breaks. The boys were already on the stage, waiting. I marched myself right to the front of Guy. They had a center ramp set up. Oh my god. So close. The stage was elevated about 3 feet, and i could have reached out and touched Guy. No security getting in our way. They played Viva, Paradise, Clocks, Fix You and ETIAW. Just unbelievable. We could hear their instruments without any amplification. Jonny was all smiley, Guy was his cool self. Will worked his drums and Chris was Chris. It was funny when the makeup lady came out to touch up Chris with a little face powder because he was sweaty. He did his dancey stuff, and was all over the ramp. Before ETIAW, the roadies came and took Chris's piano which was cool to watch, I had to squeeze back so they could get it between me and the stage. They did a funny promo bit at the end with Justin, Ellen and Coldplay and Chris kept laughing. I don't know how KROQ tomorrow top this, it was just that amazing. No cameras allowed in the studio but it will be on Ellen's website in a week or two. So so much fun an far exceeded my expectations, because I didn't really even know what to expect. Oh, forgot to mention that I was one of the 20 Coldplay.com winners to see the boys on The Ellen Show tomorrow!!! I hit the Coldplay jackpot this week. Twice in 2 days. Not sure if I can handle all this awesome-ness :) The show will be broadcast on October 27, so since that's after the album release, maybe we will get a new single! Did you see the link on Coldplay's facebook wall? Another contest for CA residents only - the link takes you to an entry form on coldplay.com, but you can't find the link on coldplay.com without going through the facebook link, if that makes sense. They will notify the winner on Monday.

The call-in I would rather forget ever happened. :embarrassed: As for the "super-fan" letter, I still think that's hilarious. And just say, I didn't already have my tickets - and I didn't win after baring my Coldplay soul? I've finally calmed down, and come to the realization that I will be seeing them the day after tomorrow! I found some photos of the size of the "SoundSpace" studio when New Found Glory did a show there last week. Oh my gosh, it's about the size of my living room!

Yep, not happy at all with that UCLA show :( And no one would do anything about it, not Ticketmaster, UCLA or Samsung, I emailed all of them. But I'm not complaining about anything now, because I won tickets to Kevin and Bean's Breakfast with Coldplay next Tuesday! Fewer than 80 people total, how bad can the view be? ;)

I just dial. I was using 2 phones and I had the number ready to dial. They do the contests right when whatever song they play that ends at noon, 3 or 6. If I get a busy, just hit redial 7-8-9 times. All that plus a lot of finger crossing. I'm still in shock. 60-80 people in the audience. A far cry from the 30,000 who were behind us at Austin City Limits last month! KROQ has been good to me.
