That was me! I was freaking out so much with the girl who answered the phone, they didn't even bother letting me talk to the dj. LOL Dianne from Orange County! Woo hoo! I can't even tell you how excited I am!

Yes! I am so hating on myself for messing it up this morning when I couldn't name Yellow :( I just totally blanked out and if you'd asked me what my name was at that moment, I probably couldn't have told you. So far, we've been caller 15, 17, 19 - the 19 last night just about killed me, and I've gotten through 3 times in the mornings to Kevin and Bean, and been on hold twice for their games. Just keep trying...sigh...Do they give away more tickets at 9pm? I didn't know that, I stop listening after 6pm.

I agree, floor seats at Home Depot were awful. I had a seat in the 15th row behind the GA, and it wasn't that great. I think if it's small GA, floor would be good, but not floor seats. I don't know how people got GA at Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine the night after Home Depot, but there were only about 150 or so. Festivals are different, because everyone has GA, and then it's just first come.

I call back over and over and over...

They did another contest this morning. Kevin and Bean do 2 a day, then there are the 3 call-in times. The second contest was so much easier...Kind of like "fill in the blank." A color in the rainbow is? When you have a run-in with the police, you are in? That thing on the wall that tells time is? The Spanish word for life is? When you are cold, you? When you jump out of a plane, you need? Someone who works in a lab? When you cry, you have? They asked a guy the questions first, and he got them all. Then they asked a girl, and she didn't know very many. MUCH easier than the backwards song titles :( I was on hold the whole time waiting for them to get to me and they didn't. I asked the girl on the phone when they were doing the drawing from the online contest, and she didn't know. So now I wait for noon to come and try calling again. So far, I've been caller 15, 17 and last night my husband was 19. They always look for caller 20.

God, this so sucks...That last contest was so much easier than the backwards titles. We've been calling at 12, 3 and 6, too. And last night we were caller 19 out of 20 :(

Ack...They're not going to get to me...THis girl sucks. The guy was good. I would totally have gotten these...and I'm still on hold...

I was one of them :( It was hard. I totally froze and blanked out, and missed Yellow. It was horrible. I can't believe it. But I'm on hold again right now for this next contest...I dont' think they're going to get to me, but we'll see.

Ugh. These call-in winners are starting to really annoy me. I need to stop listening to them when I don't get through. NO one seems very excited about seeing Coldplay- they're just happy they won something :( I'm worried the crowd will be half-dead, like that Letterman crowd. This last winner - the dj said the stage was very small and if Chris fell off the stage, would she catch him. The way she responded, I don't even think she knows who Chris is. Grrrr...

Will is drumming, too. Because Guy stops to talk to a roadie, there may have been sound issues with his drums.

Oh, bummer. :(. I think it would be worse to get the right answer but not chosen in the drawing! I've gotten through twice during the 3 call-ins a day...I will keep trying!

Unlike Letterman, Ellen interviews her musical guests. What a fun interview that would be...

Well, Burbank and LA are adjacent, so no travel there. And the guests on Ellen only do two songs, max. Kelly Clarkson was the guest when we went last month and she only sang 2 songs.

Thanks Amanda. I'm doing my best to win the KROQ tickets. The contest this morning was painful. The dj's took the first 5 callers. William Shatner was a guest on the show and he read lyrics to each caller and all they had to do was identify the damn song. Only 2 out of the 5 got them, and they were Yellow, Clocks, Trouble, ETIAW, and Fix You. Then they drew a winner out of the 2 who got them correct. I was dying...because all I got was a busy signal. They said they did this so the tickets would go to a "real" fan. Grrrr...

We had standby tickets for Ellen last month, but ended up in the Riff-Raff room, but my son won tickets to come back for one of the 12 Days of Giveaways shows :)

Oh my gosh...how fun. I went to the Ellen show Sept 21, and my son won tickets to come back for one of her 12 Days of Giveaways shows in Dec. I've entered this one, too. Haven't had much luck with KROQ yet...but I have hope...

I heard from two separate people who watch the Sunday Morning show on CBS that Coldplay is supposed to be on the show October 16, 2011. I have been searching for any news of that but haven't been able to find anything. But my 2 friends were watching the show last Sunday, and both told me they saw the promo piece for it.
