  1. Ok, so now I'm even happier...looking at the photo yesterday, it looked like our Row 15 in Sec. 2 was the last row. Looking at stubhub just now, there are tix available in Sec 2, Row 22, so we are not the last row! Woo hoo... LOL At least we are close to the stage and should have a good view. I'm not going to try to bring my Nikon dslr, but I can use a Panasonic Lumix which takes great pics. 20 days!!! And 19 until I pick up Tracey at the airport and we are meeting for the first time :) 7-6-5-4-3
  2. I tried again for 3 and nothing came up. So I'm keeping the ones I got yesterday. I did try single tickets, just to see what came up and saw one in Sec 201, row 10! But I really want to sit with my husband and Tracey, so I'm good with what we have. Yes, this has been a total scam and I can't believe how many pit tix are on stubhub already...$239-299. Today there are only 8 pit tix available, yesterday there were a lot more. I tried registering at the Samsung AT&T link, but only saw a place to log in, no where to register for the free tix they are giving away next week. And since KROQ is promoting it too, I'm sure they will have tickets to give away. That's how I got my tix for the meet and greet in 2009 in Irvine. We should start a list of who is going...it would be fun to try to meet up!
  3. I think you'll have to refresh because they will "unblock" it at 10.
  4. Was the first "official" Viva la Vida concert that launched the whole tour. It was at The Forum in Inglewood, CA - a very old arena in a Los Angeles suburb. The band had done several "practice" shows for friends and family, and that show at MSG, but it was July 14 that the first sold out show in Los Angeles was played. And it wasn't even supposed to be July 14. But July 15 sold out so quickly, they added the show July 14. And that made me very happy because I couldn't go to the show July 15. Hard to believe it! So much has happened in the past 3 years...
  5. I want to go to all the CA shows :) It was 3 years ago tomorrow that the Viva la Viva tour officially started. At The Forum in Inglewood. I was there. Was anyone else? The first show was supposed to be July 15, and I was so sad because that was the day we were flying to Hawaii for our family vacation. I was so happy when it sold out and they added the show on July 14. Hard to believe it's been 3 years!
  6. Ok, so just to let you all know...I got lucky today, but I'm going to try for better tickets tomorrow. If that happens, I will sell the 3 I got today. I'll put them out to coldplayers here first, so keep checking here to see if I got better tickets. The tickets are Sec. 2, Row 15, Seats 7-9, $164 (face plus fees). So just keep that in mind, because I'd like to see us all be able to go. :)
  7. Keep trying tomorrow and Friday. I didn't get a single "ticket available" screen for 30 minutes and I must have tried 30+ times on both computers. There are single seats available now, though, I just found one in Sec FF, Row 10, $164...Do you need more than one?
  8. I graduated in 1988... :shocked2: And looking at the campus map, I hardly recognize the school! So much has changed! When I was there, there were only the 4 big dorms (Dykstra, Reiber, Sproul and Hedrick), and the "suites" were brand new. That was *it* for on-campus housing... Even though I live in Orange County now, I haven't been back to the campus since I graduated! I'm so excited for this show, and we only have to wait 3 weeks!!! :D:D:D
  9. 10,000 is total capacity, I think, when they set up bleachers and seating for all 8 courts. I think 5800 is what this stadium actually holds in permanent seating. But they are setting up seating on the courts, so that increases the total seats available, too. Here is a campus map of UCLA. You can see the actual layout of the tennis center near the track stadium. This might help give a visualization what it looks like, too. http://maps.ucla.edu/campus/ Still, much smaller than Wembley ;)
  10. When I graduated from UCLA, the ceremony was held in Drake Stadium, the track stadium. The stadium where the concert is being held is called Straus Stadium. There is a photo here: http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/ucla/facilities/tennis-courts2-lg.jpg "The LATC features eight lighted, hard-surface courts, a 5,800-permanent seat grandstand around the three main courts and a two-level clubhouse. At full capacity, the LATC can accommodate 10,000 spectators."
  11. It is pretty small, but I would take a box seat in the middle over a floor seat in the back. Everyone on the floor will be standing, and I think you'd have a better view from a box. Front of the floor is a different story, though :)
  12. Wow. He was very chatty. I don't think I've ever heard him speak so much! He has a very nice voice. ;-)
  13. I'm going to try again tomorrow too. Ive never been in front and I want those pit tix very much. Lol. I'm liking their refund policy, too.
  14. That's fine. Like I said, we're only 15 minutes away from the airport. I can't wait!
  15. Yeah, I saw that too. There is a little box with a question mark next to the option, and you get a lot of "extras." And you had to buy them in pairs But you do have a great seat! VIP Experience (will call only) One Excellent Top Price Reserved Ticket on the Floor Separate VIP Preshow Lounge - Party In Style Before the Show! VIP Preshow Open Bar- Includes Beer, Wine & Assorted Soft Drink Selections Catered VIP Preshow Hospitality Dedicated On-Site VIP Preshow Host Complimentary On-Site Parking VIP Priority Check-In 1 Exclusive Coldplay VIP Gift 1 Commemorative Souvenir Concert Ticket For more info please contact [email protected]
  16. It's also to promote the new Samsung AT&T 4G phone and they will be GIVING AWAY tickets next week...so it's not just a benefit. My kid's school has been a Grammy Foundation school so I support what they do.
  17. Now you need to get your plane ticket!!! Remember, Orlando-Orange County :)
  18. Tracey, just go to the ticketmaster.com site, search Coldplay and it should come up. Or try this link. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0B0046E6C32E6316?majorcatid=10001&artistid=806431&minorcatid=60&tm_link=tm_notix_Change_Search_Request Then you can see the seating chart. We are section 2, Row 15, seats 7-9. We're close, and it says we have a full view, but we are on the side of the stage.
  19. I have no idea, but so frustrating for the real fans :( I mean, I was there, on at exactly 10am, they didn't start selling until 10:02. They must have ways to get around those security codes. Oh, well...at least I'm going with TRACEY :lol::lol::lol:
  20. Just tried to buy the VIP experience tickets at $389 each. Section 204, row 2. So they're not selling quickly or even at all...I love the boys, but just can't see spending that kind of money right now...
  21. What a fecking nightmare that was...there was no mention ahead of time about those $389 VIP tickets in Sec. 201-204 :( I had two computers going, refresh, enter the damn security codes, over and over, and nothing for 30 minutes. Kept trying, and finally I took the first tix that came up. I needed 3, so we are in Sec. 2, Row 15, for $150 each. Not exactly what I was hoping for :( But at least we're going...I may still try tomorrow and see if anything better comes up.
  22. I hope so! I will have two computers and my iPad logging in...it's crazy how many different options show up on multiple devices
