  1. LOL. We are going to Vegas in August. We got an amazing offer from Aria. My mother in law lives in Vegas so we will leave our daughter with grandma, and hubby and I will stay at Aria for a couple of nights.
  2. The main site for the concert series says this: Beginning next week, a limited number of free tickets to the Coldplay show will be available through registration at http://www.samsungsummerkrush2011.com, a Summer Krush spokesperson tells http://www.Billboard.biz. Tickets will also be available to purchase, priced from $45 to $150, on July 15 through ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster outlets. Net proceeds from the Los Angeles concert will benefit the Grammy Foundation's Grammy in the Schools music education program (grammyintheschools.com). So who knows how many tickets will actually be released for sale. Ack, I'm nervous! I really want the GA pit tix!
  3. And I just got an email from KROQ and their presale is Thursday, 10am-10pm at ticketmaster. Password is KROQWATERFALL.
  4. I hear you! Im going try to do a massive Coldplay California Road Trip for the next tour :)
  5. You could go to LA and still get to Chicago, but I suppose it all just gets so $$.
  6. Oh, geez...that sucks :( But Muse is amazing and Coldplay will be back soon on tour.
  7. But concert reports since France have been awesome, so it sounds like they're over whatever it was. I'm very excited :) Playing on a tennis court means a small crowd, too.
  8. And it's only 2500 seats! I'm there!!! And it's at UCLA, my alma mater :D
  9. I dunno...seems to make sense to add another US show close to Lolla, as long as they're in the US, they might as well... They may be able to get in some promo interviews in the US during that time, too. And then they're "off" from shows most of August and September. .
  10. I've decided not to go :(. Tix are expensive, and the show doesn't even start until 7:30. With the huge lineup, how long will Coldplay actually play? I'm thinking they may only play 5-6 songs, definitely not a full set. If I loved all the other bands, it might be worth it to me, but I don't...have a great time if you go :)
  11. Tracey, every radio station that is clear channel is giving away tickets. You have been lucky before! And the $289 are the highest priced tux, there are $45 available, upper level behind the stage. No thanks!!! But yeah, $289 for one night is crazy.
  12. Confirmed on coldplay.com, too. Damn...I'm flying to Austin the week before. I don't know if I can do both :( Presale is open now, tix start at $289 for Friday only, ouch. But I could drive there and stay with my mother in law...
  13. Wow, he looks so different without a beard! Much younger...
  14. I'm really hoping to be front row, because I really really *need* to have a good view of that drummer guy, but I haven't been to a festival in, oh...um...well...since the 80s. And back then, I didn't care where I was. I'm a little scared, lol...I look at the crowds in the festival pictures and think, holy crap, that's a lot of people, and I want to be in the front. Hell, i'm flying from California to Texas, I better be in the front...I have 2 1/2 months to stress out about it, though. Oh, and to convince my husband, that yes, I AM crazy and I'm going to stand there all day and wait...
  15. Thanks for that link - Great pics of Chris, with a few token Jonny and Guy thrown in...but based on those photos, Coldplay doesn't have a drummer . :\ Poor Will - always in the back and forgotten about by those who don't know him. :(
  16. Since it wasn't limited to UK residents, and I couldn't find terms and conditions, I'm hoping a plane ticket from Los Angeles-Heathrow is included when they notify me that I've won!
  17. There weren't any conditions, and there was a place to indicate your zip (post) code and country, so I don't think it's limited to UK residents :)
  18. Someone who was there told me it was "absolutely amazing" and the "crowd was going wild." I'm looking forward to more details!
  19. I can't stop watching GPASUYF from Glastonbury. It's permanently saved on my dvrs. I kept waiting for him to break a drumhead. Sigh. I could watch him play all day. The fangirl that I've been repressing for the last almost 2 years is back!
  20. Oh Nooo....I'd be so bummed if that happened. I have it locked on 2 dvrs in our house. Keep checking Palladia, though, they tend to repeat things fairly frequently. I remember they showed World Stage from Tokyo many many times.
  21. That's where I got the quote from :) It was the first time I'd heard for sure they'd had the baby. Good find :) A little boy and a girl...so cute...All the boys have had daughters first - Apple, then Moses. Ava and then Will's boy/girl twins, Guy's daughter, and now Violet and Jonah...Hmmm...
  22. Nobody mentioned this little tidbit. This is the first mention I've seen of Jonny and Chloe's new baby boy! I knew they were expecting, but hadn't heard anything about her having the baby. (From this article: http://www.flintshirechronicle.co.uk/flintshire-news/local-flintshire-news/2011/06/30/flintshire-boy-jonny-buckland-headlines-glastonbury-with-coldplay-51352-28965312/ Jonny, a former Alun School pupil, is set for a summer of travelling, with performances scheduled in Poland, Belgium, France, Japan and South Africa. But he is juggling his hectic rock star career with life as a family man. John said: “Jonny has a two-month-old baby called Jonah, so he is very tired at the moment. “His three-and-a-half-year-old, Violet, has had chicken pox as well. “But his wife and the baby did manage to make it to Glastonbury to see him perform and they always try to travel as a family.” John said he and wife Joy travel to London to see both sons and their grandchildren as often as they can. And he said Jonny is showing no signs of wanting to retire. He added: “He definitely won’t be stopping anytime soon. “In between all the festivals and performances this summer the band will be getting into the studio to record the final few songs for their fifth album.”
  23. They played 18 at Glastonbury - unless you count Wonderful World separately.
