  1. oooh, that definitely looks official! i hope they say it's available soon. it'll go smashingly with my london 2009 calendar :D
  2. what's telling is that coldplay have basically won everything else they've been nominated for this year in pretty much all other award shows etc. it's definitely the america effect. of course, these things don't matter. it just makes me sad that this is the image of american music put forth by the country i live in. there's already enough about this place i don't want to be associated with :P
  3. they better win things at the grammys. those are more respected awards with more sensible people voting, i guess. why didn't we flood the voting if fans could have voted?
  4. at least he had a coldplay shoutout. but seriously. i can't wait to live in england next year.
  5. if obama had lost, this would probably be the final straw  thank god i'm out of here next year :P. i wish british music awards were broadcasted over here. i agree with emily a few pages back about these awards being just AMERICAN. the international artists have no shot, even when they deserve it WAY more than anyone else walking on that stage. if we're not going to be sensible, why bother having them along?
  6. i hope this only runs to 11. i'm really getting sick of watching. give me british music awards any day, or ones in america that are more international. are there any other international artists up besides coldplay?
  7. WHAT THE FUCK. americans are morons, is all i can say. these are the worst music awards i've ever seen. i should have known they were going to be crap, really.
  8. ugh, pussycat dolls. what time are these things supposed to be over? 11 EST? i'm in serious need of coldplay, of them just winning something so i can see them and hear them talk and remember there's some good music out there.
  9. i don't mind the jonas brothers. i mean, i've never really heard their music, but i think they have good morals and messages for kids, and they write their own stuff and play their own instruments. for ages 5-12 or so, i think they're fine. what gets me is when girls older than like, 13 are obsessed with them. time to move on to more *real*, less commercialized artists by then.
  10. i think coldplay has a good chance of beating alicia. the question is, will they? i think the fact that these awards are dominated by country and R&B artists, and coldplay are pretty much the only non-americans up for anything puts them at a HUGE disadvantage. at other awards shows, they'd be taking everything. americans have no sense.
  11. agreed about beyonce and the pants! she's beautiful and a great dancer, but THERE NEEDS TO BE TROUSERS. if she wrote her own material, i'd have a lot more respect for her. her voice is amazing, but she needs to write her own stuff and be more concerned with the MUSIC rather than the look. and chris is among his buddies tonight, beyonce and jay-z :D
  12. someone is going to slip on a butterfly with their heels and fall sometime tonight, i swear. and i think chris's hair at the beginning of this tour was PERFECT, right before he shaved it. the 'fro is too much, but i think his best look was through this summer :wideeyed:
  13. oooh, here's the fray! the other thing i was looking forward to.
  14. i'm fairly certain it was a CP butterfly. there are still strays on the stage floor, too :P and coldplay HAS to win the next three. i'll riot if they don't. and YAY FOR CHRISSY HAIR. he better keep it growing. he really looks ill when he shaves it all, i think.
  15. RHIANNA HAS A PURPLE BUTTERFLY STUCK IN THE BACK OF HER DRESS
  16. i have to watch that again to really SEE it; i was concentrating too hard on listening. i'll hunt it down on youtube or something tomorrow. the bright side is that chris's curls are coming back. no more cancer-patient look! and the butterflies were awesome, as always. i'll never stop loving those.
  17. mich, not you!! mariah carey is also called mimi sometimes. she's on now.
  18. i thought even the music was a bit off. jonny and guy looked like they were trying really hard to get it on track, concentrating hard while still trying to look normal. i might be being too harsh, but really, i wish they were better on TV. most people probably think they're SO overrated seeing these performances, but in their own concert, they are so much better than that, it's ridiculous. i hate that their common reputation is built on these performances.
  19. yeahhhhh, that was pretty damn awful for coldplay and that song. chris gets WAY too nervous for TV award shows. i could hear his voice trembling, i swear. he barely even smiled. and LIJ is literally their best live song out there right now. i can't believe it was THAT mucked up.
  20. oh god. i thought that performance was....bad :uhoh: and no best album? WHAT IS THIS SHIT?! at least they had :flutterby:s
