this thread has taken fandom into ridiculousness. frankly, i'm less angry about not having the EP and more angry about the things i've seen go on here in the past two hours or so. twenty-odd pages of gloating, begging, and insults. this is the most un-coldplaying thread i've seen in ages. in my opinion, i think hermes was very, very wrong in saying anything at all about having the EP and opening this thread, but right in not caving into the ridiculousness that has ensued. he's thick if he didn't see all this coming. i think everyone else was very wrong in letting this go on in the way it has for as long as it has, but right in being upset with the fact that someone had the nerve to blab about it. they're thick for thinking insults and on the knees begging would work. i'm not trying to be self-righteous here, because i've been lurking for the entire time (minus my few opening pleas for everyone to chill out) and have been so tempted to say something. my point is that there's a fine line between being a fan and being a jerk (on both sides), and i think the line was crossed by both parties. it's just something to think about. leaving now. at any rate, we'll have the songs in some, albeit slightly bad quality form in less than 5 hours. i'd rather hear it in bad quality than not hear it at all, personally.

then why come here and be an asshole about it? if i somehow got it, i would either not tell the board or would leak it under a different name. you've done a disservice to yourself by coming here and opening your mouth about how you've supposedly gotten it. of course it's illegal to leak it; we all know that. we also all are planning to buy it anyway, and we all know that the police aren't going to come down and knock your door. your good choices would have been to either make people very happy by leaking it, or to leave us all blissfully ignorant of your supposed good luck and connections. instead, you've chosen the bad road by making lots of people angry and by making a bad name for yourself. i'm done.

before this gets out of hand, i would say everyone should just leave it. if he's not going to leak it, then just ignore him. i can see this getting nasty on both sides, with people being demanding and rude and braggy and gloaty. just my two cents. if he even *actually* has it.

if you're not going to leak it, what's the point of gloating?

wait, really? i thought they were going to play it once through at 9AM GMT and theyn after that just play random tracks throughout the day...? :thinking:

radio leak. it's as good as we're going to get at first; i'm willing to forsake some quality for hearing the damn things in their entirety, LIT2 and NMFWTTG especially.

i can't imagine never seeing snow before :freak:. i hpoe all you guys get to see it some day; it's absolutely amazing. it's one of my favorite things in the world.

i was walking out of the student center here at uni two days ago behind some random girl. she stopped short and went "oh my god" and i looked up and saw that it was snowing! it stopped about 30 seconds later, and the ground was too warm for it to stick or anything like that, but snow makes me so freaking happy it's ridiculous. it's the prettiest thing in the world, when it's actively snowing. it's 28F here today, which is perfect snow temperature. that's much warmer than the temperature i'm used to this time of year (between 5 and 10 degrees F warmer), but my roommate's acting like we've suddenly been teleported to antarctica :dozey:. southerners :rolleyes: :P

haha, you can really do whatever you want in terms of design, as long as the logo's somehwhere on it and it fits the proper size :D. we're not trying to control everyone and be fascists about this--we're just trying to be efficient and as uniform as possible :D. short answer: yes, of course that's fine :smiley:

i still maintain that all of the hype is just media BS, but...this article got me more worried than most :\ the line about her bringing apple and moses to "visit" chris makes it seem like he's fulfilling visitation rights or something. i'm not saying that THAT'S what's going on--i'm saying that the tabloid reporters select their words carefully to put these sorts of bad images in our minds. and i have to say, you can't expect gwyneth and the kids to be with the band for the ENTIRE TOUR. that's a torturous lifestyle for anyone, and i would imagine its even MORE stressful for a mother with a full calendar and two kids under five. we know for a fact that she was on this US leg with the band for like two weeks (one of the main reasons i was so happy to see her at my show a few weeks ago was to confirm that they were still OK together), so they probably agreed that she would be with them for a while, then go back to london (where she was last week) and then coming back to america for a few parties and a few visits to chris. it's a sad thing, i think, to have your family apart for so long, and they certainly are apart more than most families, but imagine bringing up kids on the road for months and years at a time.

i wonder if i should wake up early tomorrow to DL the leak before class? :thinking: of course, this is assuming some kind person in a timezone where the first play of the EP occurs at a godly hour records it :D. if i didn't have classes and all, i would get up at 4AM or just stay up until then to hear it, but alas...i really shouldn't :sad: i won't be able to concentrate in arabic class knowing that the PM songs are floating around the internet for sure :wink:

no, i'm pretty sure they're talking about a *potential* PM leak :D any possible forcast of when the thing will be completely done downloading? i know that's a lot to ask, but i'm wondering if i should just go to bed and wake up to news, or hang out for an hour or two more in waiting.
