  1. yeah, both my coldplay shirts got too short on me (remember when shorter shirts were in style? not that i bought them to be short, but now they make things so much longer...), but i'm waiting for the new merchandise before i order anything else. i can't WAIT till they tour, hopefully in the US in july-early august. there always seem to be a few more things available to buy at concerts than are on the website.
  2. hmm. that's a good point. i didn't think of it like that. i always imagined someone like, stealing the masters or something rather than just swiping a CD off the factory conveyor belt. in that case, how long before the release are CDs usually produced? anyone have a guess?
  3. very true. if they push back the release date, i might go to bed for a week and not come out.
  4. i'm not even bothering until someone comes here and writes "OMG IT WORKS, IT'S THE REAL DEAL!!!" i kind of don't think it will leak at all, though, at least not until june 13 when it gets released in some places in the world. it seems like you'd have to screw up really, really badly to have something get loose these days, and while i know it definitely still happens, i would imagine artists like coldplay have huge security around these things.
  5. this is just more proof that prospekt needs to get on his game before the world explodes. but like i promised months ago, you're not going to hear any more (really serious) complaining from me now that we have the defined release date. as long as they stick to that, i don't really care what else they do in the meantime. of course, i still want to know like hell....
  6. :freak: new material again?!
  7. yeah, i don't fully believe it. lots of sites have the "tracklisting" up, and they're all different. even though it sounds vaguely plausible (though i would think there would be "famous old painters" and no "violet hill," but that's just me), i'm not believing it until we read it from prospekt. or i guess worst-case-scenario, if RS says it again. i believe people like them because they're in direct contact with the artist, and they're not music retailers.
  8. adios, i'm off as well. it's not like i'm doing anything here anyway! night!
  9. *sigh* it's going to be the same wherever i go, unfortunately. teenagers like getting drunk and hooking up, and i like doing my own thing and reading etc etc. i just can't wait for everyone else around me to be done with that crazy late-adolescent phase so we can all get on with our lives. sorry, bad mood :P
  10. yeah, i usually leave the browser open as well. if i was always actively doing stuff, i'd have a higher post count and no life. i have a life, or i had one before i came to uni. i just got laughed at because i said i'd rather stay here and write my paper than go play beer pong. i think me being around more these days has a lot to do with me really disliking the social scene here.
  11. i've been doing that lately as well. but this place is pretty dead now, so i wonder why i'm even still on. i've been on since like 4PM, and it's 11:30 now. uberbordem sets in.
  12. me too! he was my first celeb crush ever.
  13. oh right! i got distracted. my order might be a little screwed up, but whatevs. 10. zach braff (i like dorks. especially funny ones with good taste in music) 9. heath ledger (:bigcry:) 8. george harrison (when he was young and alive, of course) 7. jesse spencer 6. jonny buckland 5. james mcavoy 4. julian casablancas 3. john krasinski 2. jake gyllenhaal 1. chris martin! (well, it's kind of a number of things with him) ooh, but i forgot jude law! he's high up there somewhere as well.
  14. haha, really? it must be a sign! (of what, i have no idea).
  15. mine will take a while too. i'm just so cripplingly bored that i might as well!
  16. i think i know exactly what you're talking about, grace. but i seem to have the opposite happen more often: i hear a song in the morning, soon after i get up, and it tends to define the sort of day i'm going to have. sometimes it's really creepy how well my day fit the song i woke up to or heard very soon after getting up when i consider it that night.
  17. i'll start a list if you do, annie! well, after some thinking, of course.
  18. ohh-kayyy a semy song about pringles? yes, please! :D
  19. wheee!! you HAVE to post it when it's done!
  20. EEEE!! really?!?! omg, can't wait
  21. how much do we want to bet that people are still going to do the same in the old thread :dozey:
  22. :dead: i. love. julian. i once saw him in an alley smoking with albert hammond jr. and fab moretti and had a bit of a heart attack. it would have been stranger and more surprising if they weren't standing 20 feet away from their parked tour bus. but still.
  23. agreed. i can stop having heart attacks every time that freaking thread is in bold! good idea, semy.
  24. i completely agree. but for some reason i always mess up the code and spell it "smilie" rather than "smiley" i think  is cuter than :)
  25. *sigh* i suppose they count, but i kind of tend to disregard them because i see them as having a specific purpose: locking a thread. do you ever use the code when doing something else subconsciously? i've typed something within colons on facebook or AIM before completely by accident. but they just suit things so well! OH! how could i ever forget  and :dozey:?! i use those ALL THE TIME.
