ah! gameboy pocket? the thing that's about as thick as three sandwiches stacked up on each other?! i had one of those as well. then a color, then an advance. then i didn't have time for videogames anymore. my parents also had some of the earliest cell phones because they worked for the government, and they were HILARIOUSLY huge. literally the size of bricks. and they didn't even store numbers or anything! i think we've still got some of those models kicking around somewhere...

i remember the computers we had in my house before windows was really around! (my parents are nerds, so we've had PCs since the mid-80's). anyone else play computer games on the DOS system back in the day?

stinky cheeses kind of put me off, i have to say. i like regular american, cheddar etc best. better to put in things, which is where i like cheese the most. yeah, not the best pic. it's kind of grey-looking. but it's just one of the first that popped up on a google image search :rolleyes: right now, i've been living off easymac so much that i'll take pretty much ANY type of homemade macaroni and cheese that's not radioactive orange in color and made in the microwave. i'm dying for annies, but i don't do so well when i come into contact with stoves. nearly burned my house down the last time i tried to boil water.

CHEEEEEESE! another great word. one of my faves. i :heart: cheese! but did someone say MACARONI AND CHEESE?! favorite. food. EVER. bar none.

yeahhh, crumpets is funnier for word-replacement. interesting, though, because muffins is a good word as well. i don't know, it would just be funny if i got over to england next year and i heard someone saying "muffins" rather than "shit" when they stubbed their toe or whatever. because i haven't found another person yet even over here who does that, unless they're making fun of me.

half of me hopes that i've corruped the UK as well as the US with my explitive substitute (i often say "muffins" instead of "damn" or "shit" or "wow" as well), and the other half of me thinks that would be a big mistake.

oh yes, i loved that one. and i'm the same way, but i'm just more embarrassed by mine because they seemingly don't have much to do with the songs themselves to anyone else, probably. still, though, i take a soviet history course, so spies really makes me think of soviet cold war russia. and we have a kick-ass spy museum in washington DC here that is SO COOL and makes me think of spies every time.

argh, the last time i was on the site it said april 11, but that was weeks ago. they must have changed it :( that is pretty suspicious, semy. i'd be afraid of getting kicked out if i were you. i wonder if anyone else has any means of recording it? if i can get my hands on an MP3 recorder and find transport to the theater on/around the 25th (GAH i miss my car), then i'd do it in a second, but alas, that plan has too many variables. poo.

oh yes, i think we'll have to do it ourselves. and apparently it's out april 11th in the UK and april 25th in the US, so someone in the UK HAS to go see it for us and bring home the goods. yes, i would see it for the coldplay track, but i'm a movie freak so i'd eventually see it at some point anyway. if it was out in america first, i'd volunteer to record the song from the credits (assuming i had an MP3 recorder, but i've been meaning to get one anyway). any UK takers? we'll luuuurve you forever. but how much do you want to bet that the song isn't going to be in there just because we want it to be so badly?

:laugh4: too bad excessively pudgy ALSO MEANS FAT. i just ate some other chips pretending they were pringles because i'm all out. buying more tonight. and i could eat those fat-free pringles, i suppose. but i DARE you to read the side effects of the fat substitute they use (called Olestra) on the side of the can. they're...needlessly descriptive of the results, is all i can say :P

(oh, i'm having too much fun with this...) i just find the word "crumpets" to be freaking hysterical too, much like the word "muffins" (see the "holy muffins!" thread). and of course, today i ate a crumpet/english muffin for breakfast instead of my regular bagel simply because of this thread. it was amazing.
