depends on what you count as very old. it's not really thick. 1 cm - 2 cm, sth like that. when opened, of course. otherwise it's approx. 1 year old.

Oh my. I can't believe things like that can really happen - i thought it was just in films!! :o But on the other hand, for girls at your age is pretty normal that they're like that. they all want to be the coolest and have the awesomest friends etc, and boys aren't any better :D They're in puberty and who thinks about getting a serious relationship? no one. but there can be exceptions *wisenod* having older friends in this case is better ... but you gotta make sure they're not just "using" you. ;)
