The only thing i can tell you that is on the gatefold, is that they made a little stripe through a part of the barcode with a marker. Could that have to do anything with it? I'm totally puzzled and i don't know who to turn to. The oracle probably won't reply as she hardly replies on questions about releases EDIT: My prospekt's march EP (which came from the same seller) was sealed but also had the marker stripe. I decided to open it and quess what: it has the same white block on it (on the side this time).

weird eh? It's in a regular VLVODAAHF gatefold wallet and nothing on tthat packaging indicates that it's a promo or anything. Oh and that white part on the cd is'nt a sticker or anything, it's printed on there. I really have no idea what happened :dozey:

I've got a question for everyone in America who's got a copy of viva la vida or death and all his friends. I bought one from ebay and the cd looks like this: if you turn your head (:p) you can see that it says it's promotional or whatever is this normal? because it isn't supposed to be a promo copy really. Help is welcome

I bought a lot of stuff from that man! He's great and he has got a lot of rare coldplay items. You can send him a mail asking about more Coldplay items and he'll send you a list.

It really surprises me that if I compare my joining date with other around here, I joined before about 70 percent of the people on here (if not more) whilst I thought I was kind of late with discovering Coldplay. I remember going t oa record store where there was a 'buy 2 get the 3rd cd for free' action and I picked Coldplay for the free cd (parachutes), because I knew some of their singles. This was a couple of months before X&Y was released.

I've got 153 releases now, but by the end of the week it should be 158 or something like that.

you can clearly hear the differences between the versions. I like the album version better though. I wonder what songs Tom Lord Alge mixed too

yeah i'm curious about that too :P Tom Lord Alge did make a What If mix which was officially released on the what if single, so maybe he mixed the whole album and did it leak.

Since it isn't on any official cd release I can tell you for sure that it hasn't been released officialy.

I just really think that all the things i've seen from you, were really really great ! And I meant that, it's not like i'm giving you compliments to make you do mine. The same size as the original picture would be great, and it can be titles from every era good luck ! But I'm sure you'll make it as good as all the others :cool:

I was just browsing through some pages here, and all your stuff looks sooo wonderful, really ! Great job on them. Now you have inspired me to also make a request for you: Could you please do this picture with perhaps some single or album titles and make it say Coldplay Discography Guide? That would be awesome ! keep up the good work !

Today I purchased my 150th Coldplay release, and to celebrate, I bought myself 5 more singles :smug: 200 here I come !

haha sorry i'm kind of making this thread my own appearently :P But I looked it up and indeed, there was also a Fierce Panda UK re-release in 2002. Now, if you ask me, I think the difference between them will either be : A. The re-release is in a regular cd case (which makes it hard to tell them apart) B. the only difference in them will be the year of release on the backside oh and there also seems to be a re-release of the Fierce Panda Brash one. There was a re-release by those 2 record labels, but they deleted it, and to make it more complicated, they re-released their re-release (still following? :P) So you have 2 version, but luckily, they have 2 different catalogue numbers: BRH1023 & BRH1023-2

Ok so, I'm not sure if what i'm about to answer is completely correct as I'm a bit confused about the brothers and sisters releases too. I think, there was only 1 Fierce panda release of the single, and that is the 1999 one. All other Brothers & Sisters releases are re-releases and they were re-released for purchase in the US. All the re-releases are by Fierce Panda + another record company. It can be Brash or Sixthman. I don't think there are any other B&S Cd releases. If there are any, I'd like to see a pic of it :P But as I said: these are the only singles I have knowledge of, but if anyone can correct me, please do edit: I forgot to mention what the differences are between these releases: Original '99 Fierce Panda: - Slimcase - Catalogue N°: NING 68CD Re-released Fierce Panda - Brash: - Regular CD case - BRH1023-2 Re-released Fierce Panda - Sixthman - Regular CD case - SXM2- 61023 if you want to see pics of both the orignial '99 B&S and the Fierce panda-Brash one, you can always check the site in my signature.
