1. One word. Fucking awesome. (ok thats 2 words)
2. Cor blimey. I was reading through the first page, and I was under the impression that this had just happened! Iwas thinking 'NOOO! NOT NOW!!!' Then I realised it was from 2006. I'm so stupid :laugh3:
3. Yeah, the grammar says it all. I don't know how people could even consider that to be a Prospekt message. I can go on there an call my self Chris Martin if I wanted, and post a message. I think someone already did actually, looking back.
4. Already been posted by Ian: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2275726&postcount=99
5. I'm hoping this will be their "classic" album as well, and I have a feeling it will be. But it will be hit or miss with some fans, and it will take a while to adjust to the change, if it really is a s different as they say it is. I've heard a few people saying that this will be their Kid A, but to be honest I'm still waiting for an "OK Computer" from them. And don't tell me that it was X&Y, because that was basically AROBTTH with louder guitars and less character. I still like it of course, but it didn't exactly re invent the wheel did it.
6. Kind of the excitement I feel when my younger admits he likes the Coldplay song that comes on when I'm playing my mp3 player on shuffle through speakers. Must be awesome to see one of you're friends in the process of converting to a Coldplay fan, or like me an my friend (a fellow fan) like to say, seeing the light :laugh1: As for news, I can't wait for that studio session report from RS today / tomorrow, although I can wait till next week after all that's happened. The tracklisting I'm equally excited about! If what Prospekt said was true, they finalised it yesterday. So I'm expecting the next entry on Tuesday at the lastest, realistically I think its going to be posted either tonight or tomorrow. Random: Anyone notice that Pitchfork article about the new name that Ian posted somewhere? Must be the first article since like 2002 where they're not actually doing any obvious Coldplay bashing. Although they did say 'WTF' to the VLVOD title :laugh1:
7. Sounds like a job for Zemy101 to me :wink3: But he too has work to do (a Flash animation, to be precise, which is totally insane btw) Although there are plenty of people here who are better at photoshop than me (Twisted Mind comes to... er... mind)
8. Ah, at all makes perfect sense now! And that picture is probably one of the best things ever. Stalin looks reasonably innocent there though :freak:
9. Thats bloody hilarious :laugh3: Although similar scenes of such craziness also came to my mind, I wasn't really sure whether I should say it or not, for fear that the mods in white coats would come and sort me out... :P Insanity is what keeps the forum alive, anyway
10. Yeah exactly. And all of the song names have a second title on there anyway.
11. ^It happened on Travis' last album, so yeah it could happen.
12. ^Doesn't fit? It's one of Muse's best songs ever! *throws empty red bull cans*
13. ^Same here, they're the best type of chocolate ever. That and white chocolate, occasionally :)
14. ^I think that's the best explanation yet.
15. Does Kinder Bueno count? I love this stuff.
16. Haha, yeah, seems almost pointless to even abbreviate it  Anyway, 3:24AM = bedtime for me
17. Yeah, its a great album. Everyone should listen to it. And I second Briggins' question.
18. That's good to hear, you've been off them for quite a while though, so listening to them again must be slightly easier than if you listened to them constantly. But have you heard the title they gave the album in the last prospekt entry?
19. ^Agreed, I needed that laugh.
20. Grit your teeth and bare this article: ----------------------------------------------------- Coldplay LP is La Vida Loco Published: 19th March Going loco... Chris Martin EVEN CHRIS MARTIN admits he has a dodgy record when it comes to naming things. Kids APPLE and MOSES spring to mind. Now he’s gone and called the new COLDPLAY album Viva La Vida. And he’s not even bothered people will think the title is a tribute to snake-hipped, Latin pop merchant RICKY MARTIN. Unsurprisingly, the influence comes from a much more high-brow source. The Spanish phrase — which means “long live life” — was influenced by the late Mexican painter FRIDA KAHLO, one of MADONNA’s favourite artists. Chris explained: “Frida went through a lot of s*** then she started a big painting in her house that said Viva La Vida. I just loved the boldness of it.” But it is the echoes of Ricky’s cheesy breakthrough hit Livin’ La Vida Loca that are weighing heavy on the mind of the bookish frontman. Chris conceded: “Everyone thinks it comes from Ricky Martin, which is fine. I have absolute respect.” Coldplay album titles have always been slightly unconventional. The lads called their first collection Parachutes and their last CD was X&Y. Terrible And that’s before we get on to the names he conjured up for his kids with wife GWYNETH PALTROW. In an interview with iconic rock mag Rolling Stone, he admitted: “I’ve been through this before, naming something or someone and everyone saying, ‘That’s a terrible name’, but then saying, ‘Well, f*** you, that’s what it’s called and I’ll be proved to be right eventually’. "So when Viva La Vida came along I was kind of annoyed because I’m going to have to convince everybody of this — but it just felt right.” The album is due out on June 16 and is reportedly a radical departure for the four-piece. Guitarist JONNY BUCKLAND said: “We felt like the first three albums were a trilogy and we finished that, so we wanted to do something different.” There has been talk of a Spanish flavour to the music, which would justify the title. And Chris added: “Whether or not it’s good, we started to use more colours. “It’s impossible to please everybody and it took us a while to learn that. It’s just the freedom to say, ‘Everyone might not like this. We’re into it at the moment, so let’s just get it done’.” As long as it doesn’t sound like Ricky Martin... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/article939686.ece
21. I'm still laughing after reading it twice, the kidney thing had me in stitches.
