I think turning love of something or enjoyment of something into a competition isn't a very good idea. As Ian said, how can you measure something like that?

Last month I was having surgery to take my appendix out, and the surgeon was telling me there was an extremely small chance I could die during the surgery. The first thought that went through my head when he told me was "If I die, I'll never hear Coldplay's fourth album!" I'm glad to be alive.

^ Aww, nice! They played Trouble while I was at a restaurant the other day too. Everyone at my table was very kind to let me listen to it whilst they sat in silence. Later we had a conversation about Coldplay, like what Coldplay fans call themselves. Do Coldplay fans call themselves by any other name?

Today I was having Sunday lunch with my family and I really wanted to play some Coldplay but I knew I would be told to turn it off by everyone except my father. So I turned on the string quartet tribute to Coldplay and some of my family said they liked it, but then Clocks came on and my Dad loves Clocks but not really any other Coldplay so he asked me "Where did you get the Coldplay song?" And then my sister looks over at me like :annoyed: but then all my family asked me things about Coldplay and I told the whole story about how they got the name Coldplay, and they asked things like "Does Coldplay mean they're penguins?" :rolleyes:

I was watching a show in 2002 called Get Reel and they play some music videos and movie clips and I had never heard of Coldplay because we didn't have any music video channels or listen to the radio very often. But then they showed The Scientist and I was so amazed because I had never seen anything like it but the sound was turned way down so I couldn't hear it. Later I saw it again with the sound turned up and I was alone and I did fall in love at first sight/hearing. The Scientist was the first song I got off of iTunes. Ahh, good times, gooooood times.

Hi ColdplayBirdsFly You're really right about Coldplay being able to be related to everything. It's like when they wright the songs they think "What does everyone in the world see on a daily basis, and what does it rhyme with?"

^I know what that's like to be sick of people hating coldplay. Like I was watching Craig Ferguson on TV last night and he was talking about how iPods have been banned in North Korea and he said the only thing that Kim Jong Il would listen to would be "My Humps" and "anything by Coldpray" saying Coldplay with a weird accent. And later he mentioned Kim Jong Il's son and a fake picture flashed on screen of his son wearing a red "Coldpray" shirt. I'm not sure if I'm offended or not. A few months ago Craig was also talking about Grey's Anatomy and how it's a great hospital because they're always playing Coldplay. He then did an impression of Chris singing by having a concerned look on his face and then whining very loudly and saying yellow. Craig also thinks Coldplay doesn't have a drummer. Craig makes me mad sometimes.

Yesterday I was laying on the sofa and my sister was reading a magazine, and all of a sudden she shouts "It's Coldplay!!!" so I pretty much vault of the sofa and run over to her and it turns out she was messing with me and it was just an article about the band Stellar Kart. I was kind of in that in between phase where I was so happy about Coldplay nothing could make me mad, and so mad about NOT Coldplay I just walked away. Later I was reading the same magazine and she said "Stop drooling over Coldplay!" Gaah.

I think I'm developing a crush on Chris.:thinking: Same question.
