Errrm... I apologize for my last post :embarassed: I was in a less-than-savory mood at the moment; I did NOT mean to slag somebody off for having a different opinion.

Ummm, I take great offense to that. It should have it's own sound, NOT try to be a pallid rehash of a successful previous effort. (And yes, I AM being defensive about Absolution as well, since that's the album that got me into Muse :rolleyes: )

Shiver - Not bad, but I just absolutely hate the "Always get your way" line. I have NO respect for people who are actually like that. It's a HORRIBLE message to send, simply put. The Hardest Part - I'll put this as politely as I can: WHAT THE **** WHERE THEY THINKING WHEN THEY RELEASED THIS AS A SINGLE?!?

Uhhh... depends. If it's somebody I really like and share other interests whom happens to like different music, then yeah. If it's somebody who labels all fans of a certain thing (s)he hates as worthless idiots, then I wouldn't waste my time with them. It's common sense... which isn't so common these days, I'm afraid.

I'm a Star Wars/Spielberg fanatic, so of course I'm a John Williams fan as well. "Across the Stars" is simply wonderful... even if you hated the Anakin/Padme romance itself ;)

By "fast, dark and heavy", I'm pretty sure they don't mean in-your-face hard rock and a sudden turn into Booze & Broads©. I think they mean a moodier and less optimistic style... but hopefully not TOO moody, or the Radiohead comparisons will finally have some basis in reality.

I hope John Lennon is one of those ghosts.

I see many fans have somewhat rejected SOS--it's almost never listed in favorites lists--solely because of it's massive overexposure. I've become tired of Fix You thanks to the love and overexposure the FANS give it.

I've known of them for a while. Very good stuff.

I don't have any "favorite" channels. What I have is a bunch of channels I watch solely for one or two current programs I love, along with reruns of old favorites--and the rest of the stuff I either aren't interested in or absolutely hate.

Welcome to my world. :rolleyes: I'm Puerto Rican, so I have to listen to that reggaeton **** everywhere I go. ...but oddly enough, that's one of the few reggaeton songs I actually somewhat enjoy.
