  1. Last, as Marvin the robot was left as a parking valet, waiting almost until the end of time for someone to retrieve him from such an inglorious doom..:P
  2. :laugh3: Flow, as long as Ian & Jen are piloting the ship, there's nothing to worry about. But if Ian's brother takes command, then all of Earth is imperiled!:P (Ian & Jen are the administrators/head dungeon-masters..)
  3. In the US here, one problem is companies that hire temporary workers, and then the workers never get full benefits or descent pay, because they are perpetually held in "training", and they are working just short of full-time employment hours, or they are hired and let go every so many months. It's a cop-out, and the companies that do it reap extra profits, at the expense of the workers. Is this your situation?? Maybe see a counselor or a union rep??
  4. William, the Casio A-10 looks nice, and I'm glad you're happy with it! Now, let's hear some tunes with it!!
  5. bienvenidos Hola Flow!:):sunny::flutterby: Welcome to the board!! (and don't worry - you're grasp of the English language is very good - much better than my limited ability in Spanish!) Enjoy the galaxy, take a ride in the heart of gold, and be wary of the Vogons (but the workers are nice).;):mudkip: If all else fails, just make a quick escape::escaping3: ;)
  6. 569 enjoy the momentary weighty/weightlessness. (moonwalk!)

  11. I sense a shift in the force. The dark side is getting stronger again, and we must learn their basic ways, to anticipate their moves: Originally, the nationalists crafted themselves as expanding herds of moose, the moose being their predominant animal spirit. After much time out to pasture, they have changed spirit-animals from moose to alligator, deciding instead it is better to infest the swamps, and seize others by the neck using stealth tactics, than to openly court alliances in the higher ground above open water. In response, the liberal animal spirit has taken the form of the wildebeest, and the citizens have generally turned into fast, agile antelope. And so, the customary behavior of the alligators has begun to shift - antelope and wildebeests, take note! Normally successful against unwary antelope nearing a waterhole, the old tried and true method of underwater patience and persistence was drawing fewer and fewer antelope to the water's shore, as the wildebeests began to issue alerts of the danger from a higher vantage point, sensing any movements in the water below. Tactics have changed! Today, the alligators are able to morph themselves into pseudo-antelope, march ashore, and appear as peacefully drinking alongside one-another at the watering hole, all the while their cohorts, the "floating logs" of the estuary, pretend to be fallen trees - waiting for the moment to seize a real antelope, or even a wary wildebeest. So more and more antelope have been loosing ground to this new animal, the animal that sells itself as a fellow traveler of the high plains above, all the while waiting for a newcomer to wander into its midst, and be pulled under by its influence to a watery grave below.
  12. Quite a schedule - when do they rest?
  13. I will do that! All those selections sound vaguely Canadian to me. Do you have a bias there??;)
  14. Thanks - she's a very sweet gal. (from Alberta originally, am I correct?) I remember her stopping by here, and I gave her some tomatoes.. ;)

  21. The Spoons? Well, now I'm not sure - didn't check yet. So, it was just a comic spoof - alright then.;) Bobble heads - custom ones, but no line of them yet. Perhaps a lucrative item!
  22. :laugh3: Poor punishment, I know, I know. But I had to.:P:P:P cold swing set, cold play.:P Random thoughts, blurted out - that's what it says!:laugh3:
  23. :laugh3: Hmm.. I can only imagine - let's see, there's the royalty set, with Queen Elizabeth (Buckingham palace in the background), for 60 pounds sterling each, or the U2 set, for 77 pounds sterling each, complete with a matching set of tea cups and saucers.. So where do I look for something like that Malcolm? Anyhow, I found it interesting and coincidental, that wandering the net, I discovered that Bono was in Dallas in 1983. A security guard who recognized him asked him for an autograph, and where he was headed. Bono said something about seeing a movie - Trading Places. I was just thinking about that movie the other day actually, after watching a show on some of the Wall-Street insider moves affecting us, and thinking how cathartic it would be if those big shots were suddenly put in the shoes of those people they bilked. Anyhow, just a daydream..
