  1. Cause it's all right, even when you're old and gray, well it's all right as long as you've got somewhere to lay; well it's all right, every day is just one day.
  2. > see, now this really is interesting! Those Lemurs must have some senses for something we haven't caught onto yet. They say pets in California get anxious before a quake as well - wonder what they're sensing?
  3. Welcome to Coldplaying!:sunny:
  4. I don't know that version! Does the story involve William Tell or Robin Hood? :)
  5. Yea, I wonder why that is - maybe building dynamics? I suppose if it's subtle, hardly noticed motion.. depends too on the soil dynamics, shocks can be absorbed somewhat there too. mysteries abound!
  6. Northern NJ is connected to Southern NJ with some really nifty shock absorbers. We try and keep it a secret, it's a quake-free zone. ;):P You can read about it in the Encyclopedia Galactica, the unedited version. You see you people who use the hitchhiker's guide, you're just missing it! It's under tectonics, the engineered plates spinning beneath the crust, and which ones are properly balanced. And without balance, it's a bumpy ride!
  7. Nada nyet! TNP felt an earthquake today.
  8. Welcome Sara!:sunny:
  9. All that does sound like a great excuse to p-a-r-t-y though! :laugh3: And as for experiencing it in Michigan, just shake that mitten! Say YES to Michigan, the feelings forever. :P And Virginia is for Lovers, so hey, maybe it's a rocky romance? :laugh3: Here, all we got was the sound of a truck rumble, or maybe it was just a truck rumble?:\ Anyhow, totally disappointing. :)
  10. Move to Amends Amendment Sketch Points: 1.) Firmly establish that money is not free speech and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights. 2.) Guarantee the right to vote and to participate, and to have our vote and participation count. 3.) Protect local communities, their economies, and democracies against illegitimate "preemption" actions by global, national, and state governments.
  11. Why so sad Rudy?
  12. I really have to question the concept of a perfect life - this whole human-contrived fantasy vision of "life" is kinda ridiculous! :laugh3: Life simply is. Experiences, the forward motion of things, moments memorable or not. I never say to myself "My life is perfect" because there is no such thing. One minute things seem to fall into place, the next there's some challenge - just roll with the changes, overcome the challenges.
  13. >And just why is that? :laugh3: I can only imagine! You would choose a Gopher or a Badger?:P Decided to head west with your prairie schooner?
  14. how to unravel the gordian's knot.. I think the unstoppable force of public pressure will do it - people power topples all forms of tyranny in the end.
  15. Gweetings Mini Gwoover. How's the land down under this winter?
  16. Check out the U.S. Supreme Court's new and improved Website! Supreme Court of the United States And typically a proposed amendment looks like this: 19th_Amendment_Pg1of1_AC.jpg (JPEG Image, 1488x2223 pixels) - Scaled (26%)
  17. I can't answer that, and I won't even try! Maybe now, the change will happen, out of disaster comes a bond of common purpose compassion to correct the problems and work towards a brighter future.
  18. Hopefully the aid will keep coming. I've been thinking about the future, so I did a little research on how the citizens of the horn of Africa can be resilient during droughts: Making the desert bloom | Global Water Intelligence - Archive: Global Water Intelligence Solar energy, CO2 uptake, The climate threat's counterforce, desalination, climate change, irrigation, forestation, ETTE, Vegårshei, Norway Trees and crops reclaim desert in Niger - Africa & Middle East - International Herald Tribune - The New York Times
  19. Funny how things evolve! :laugh3:
  20. Yes, ages and ages ago! TNP has read Rainbow
  21. > It didn't work for Japan because the Japanese are such good savers! Unlike us..:laugh3: (generally speaking, that is to say). I'm not as familiar with Japan's economic troubles. > Putting private sector debt as in the bailout of the Wall Street banks? Well, yes, the whole thing is set up again by the same players that allowed things to be set up in so precarious and overinflated a manner in the first place, yes. Goldman, Citi, BankAm, et al. > And those are some of the top donors to most campaigns. > So, hence, the need to demand an amendment which takes away their excess influence in politics - each financier, each corporate owner deserves no more control over the government than what any other citizen has. And even if they try and run an end-game around this amendment, it's written down plain for all to see - very hard to ignore something when there it is, written as a guaranteed right, made very hard to misinterpret.
  22. :laugh3: True! And my garden would be weeded! But it's really nice to have a global connection centered around a really great band.
  23.:laugh3: He's George Washington's neighbor on Mt. Vernon. You know, just in Vernon. :P
  24. scattered are the efforts, can we coalesce enough to get the root problems addressed?
