Careful Where You Stand OR A Message

Something tells that Sleeping Sun will very much reflect the sound of Coldplay's new album - that and the new simplistic approach adopted on their website and MySpace.

It seems to me like an attempt to produce a similiar sound to Arcade Fire... Chris even made a comment about how impressive the album sounded.

Deb explained it once I believe. I can't actually remember the explanation anymore but there was a reason it was called Part 1... I believe.

Eno is starting work in July. I'm sure they have been working the new tracks for a while considering X & Y was released in early 2005. But that's only 1 and bit months of producing and mixing and we all know X & Y took a lot longer after delays. This date will no doubt be pushed back and if the album is amazing as it has been made out to be and if Eno is to have a big role (it sounds as though the band don't need an amazing producer to pull of their vision as Chris seems to already have the sound sussed) then hopefully it doesn't come out this soon - that said I REALLY want it to!

Anyone else worrying that Chris and drinking is hitting the tabloids far more often than in the past.

I would LOVE if you could upload the snippet! That's so cool, I thought those song names were just made up by people on wikipedia.

Where did people get these names? They're showing up on wikipedia too.

When he refers to the song as genius it gives me the impression it is somewhat of a gimick song (eg. contains bits of every style in it from classical to rap). I HOPE IT'S NOT!! I hope it was purely a joke and the song turns out to be the Stairway to Heaven for Coldplay.

I would love Timbaland to work with Coldplay for a few songs but maybe only B-Sides. Personally I'd like to see an exclusively Eno album first. By bringing Eno and Timbaland in, you're including two very talented but very different producers whose sound and direction may conflict.

I've seen the old people one that you're talking about. Was pretty moving. Go Damien btw!
