What is the rave surrounding Viva La Vida (the song)? It's a good catchy song but other bands have done similar things and in my opinion not one of Coldplay's most original on the new album (although church bells are cool!) Anyone care to explain their love for the song? Just curious.

What is the fascination with VLV over VH? Does anyone else find VH far more engaging and different than VLV? (Sorry for being slightly off topic but at least I didn't contribute to the ridiculous thread count!)

This photo is from an old Q Magazine photo shoot in 2005 during the release of X&Y. They can't have anything too exclusive...

I can't be good that Chris keeps writing at this stage. What if they pull an X&Y and decide to scrap all existing songs?! I also find it funny that with most bands as big as Coldplay a big deal is made about the budget and how it either limits or aids what they are trying to achieve, however it seems as though they must have an unlimited amount of money/time to put into this project.

You just have to compare a TV performance vs. footage of an actual Coldplay concert to realise that there's a huge difference between the sound and quality of their performance. With a TV performance they would have less control over their sound and it's almost like performing on foreign turf (for lack of a better word).
