I've always thought that since they only get to listen to it once (or in this case anyway) they just mistaked the reverb-soaked high-pitched guitar as flute. And as the guitar part is a rather simple melody, it could be mistaken for something that could feasibly be played by a flute-type instrument. I also think Rolling Stone would be inclined to write that what they heard was a flute, as the band were drumming on around that time about all the bizarre instruments in the album, and exotic influences to be heard.

I'm a little upset too but what can you say... It is competition after all... I guess I just felt there were better films. Oh well.

It was just a cheap 50 dollar camera from K-Mart that a friend bought for a Uni shoot. It looked great so I asked if I could borrow it and I ended up shooting above ground with it - it has this amazing Super 8 washed out look to it, without any serious post-work required. If anyone has a copy of it, listen to not only the lyrics, but the structure of an old b-side called Solid Ground that they only ever performed once live in 2003, and at the start he mentioned the inclusion of brass in the final mix. I will upload it another time if no one has it but it is definitely something of an old iteration lyrical wise of a song that Chris has obviously wanted to make for a while. I have always thought the song was something of an apology to the other boys in the band for any mistakes.

Well of course I love you more! But on a side note, I called a few pps I know at JBHIFI, and the Prospekt's March only CD has not yet been assigned (and probably won't) an official release date, however the Viva La Vida: Prospekt's March Edition is still set for Saturday although all shops release or open the order (which should have arrived today) tomorrow. Also of note to Aussies, the biggest CD stores have ordered approx. 40 copies each of the Prospekt's March only disc, so it is fairly limited but a heads up so you can pick it up before stock runs out.
