At the rehearsel and fairly sure I just heard them say coldplay. Twice as I write this!

I'm on my way now to the anouncement. Media release specifies Gudinski, no Chugg. We'll see - tune in in 90 mins.

The Goldrush

Well Daniel Lanois suggested the idea with U2 while making the Joshua Tree and during the VLV sessions Markus Dravs worked with Will for two weeks alone in the studio on establishing drum beats that lead rather than follow - so it is not that uncommon I suppose.

I always hear that the boys have a lot to do with the site, but in recent interviews more and more I get the feeling they are merely briefed on the eventual look (I'm sure they have ideas in the conceptualisation stage) and don't really have anything to do with it. They have definitely expressed ignorance towards the new video on several occasions. Just hope it doesn't point towards a perhaps more jaded band (who have always been experts in portraying an image of care towards all their work and fan response)...

A quote like that from Danny O’Donoghue (specially about approaching Guy) really reminds and puts into perspective the level and power that all members of Coldplay hold in the industry. Takes you out of the 'personal connection' that the band are good are establishing between each fan. Just a musing!
