I would think that with Wonders of the World/Power of the People, POTP would be an interlude. Though I’m hoping they’ll do a VLV style double track like Yes/CSC.

That wasn’t what I got from the article. To me it wasn’t that Noel could have written the song but WISHED he did because of how good it is and how right up his alley it would be. Heh.

The brass part sounds as if it’s a 10 piece section. It’s impossible for the boys to be playing those instruments and try to get it sound as authentic - there are only 4 of them you know. I would rather have them get people from the outside to help create the authentic sound they have in their heads than to have them do it all by themselves and get technology to make it sound like they have a backing orchestra. Because then you’ll have people complaining about why they didn’t use a proper orchestra to help them get that sound.

I honestly don’t think we should worry about another album. We’re getting a double album next month and a potential world tour soon. We should be happy with what we’ve got, instead of asking or wondering if there’s gonna be more. Enjoy the ride man. ;)

I would very very surprise if they indeed release another album next year. I was under the impression that everyone got it wrong when the rumour came out that they were gonna release a double album.

I saw it as how the world would be like for someone when a bomb goes off.

Thought for sure they’ll be in clothes similar to Christmas Lights but they aren’t. Unless they have different clothes for the different sides.

They could do it live. Jonny to play the sax part on his guitar. The bras and horns on playback. Won’t be as good as having a live orchestra but that’s probably what they’ll do. I think they’ll bring an orchestra on occasions like Glastonbury, maybe special live shows in Albert hall or radio city - like what they did with GS live dvd

That’s why I really hope that Arabesque isn’t just a one off. I remember when a Midnight came out and casual fans slammed it saying that Coldplay was trying to copy Bon Iver. But GS was not like Midnight at all. I know the ‘backlash’ to Midnight didn’t influence GS one bit but it’s deja vu all over again. And I can’t help but wonder if those negative reaction made them go and create AHFOD. Cause let’s be honest here, we haven’t had a daring track since Midnight...

Im just looking at comments on social media from casual fans and half of them are slagging off Arabesque. I mean to each his own of course but how uncultured are you if you can’t appreciate that masterpiece of that song? Hahaha.

Well you could say the same for Midnight. But that didn’t give an accurate example of how the whole album was gonna be. I’m really hoping this song won’t be another Midnight and this would just be a one off. Really hope the boys stuck to their guns and had the Sunrise part just as experimental. Also. I can’t get over how Chris sounds in this song. Makes me swoon.
