I think doing covers of songs is one of the easiest things in playing music, but Christopher O'Riley's piano solo's of their songs are really impressive. I don't know if he figured out the notes himself, but they are quite impressive.

You guys are totally forgetting THEE worst song by THEE worst band ever to think they deserve a shot: the song by the Gym Class Heroes. Ughh...they deserve to be spat on. They are so untalented, they did a remake of an old song!

Nice pickup, Maiu: The Bends is a great album. But anywhoo's! I recently got Lullabies to Paralyze, by Queens of the Stone Age. Seriously the best hard rock(if not just rock) album ever recorded

1.Of course Amsterdam 2.The Scientist 3. Warning Sign Yes, all are from A Rush of Blood to the Head, but they were seriously masterpieces. Honorable mention: Moses,I Ran Away, Swallowed in the Sea, and Square one.....

Like most everyone else, I agree: it is their best album. The thing that makes it their best, in my opinion , was that it had the best balance of vocals and the music. In X&Y, I thought the main guitaring often kind of drained out Chris and the other members. The other thing I thought made it the best was the song order. Politik might have been the best starting song for any album I've heard. And Amsterdam just really blew me away. X&Y had great music, but the songs could have been put in a different order. Maybe just my opinion, but whatever.... My rankings of songs in order(Whoo!Like you care!): 1.Amsterdam 2.The Scientist 3.Warning Sign 4.Green Eyes 5.God put a Smile upon your Face 6.Clocks(Most overrated song they've put out. Song of the year? Come on now.) 7. In my Place 8.Daylight 9.A Rush of Blood to the Head 10.Politik 11.Whisper Dang, the top 8-9 are like some of the 30 best songs I've heard.

To me the album version of basically any song is better than anything else...

I expect Chris and the guys to take every single second to make sure it is as perfect as it can be. Not getting my hopes up,I'm guessing spring of '08

Dilusional huh? That's funny,since most of your guys' responses are basically humor,with minimal intellegence included. I really don't think I am the dilusional one,given for the same reason above. Yes,I really like Chris Martin-but you guys have listened to him!! You know how great he is!! THE OTHER BAND MEMBERS ARE NOT AS GOOD AS CHRIS!!! If you were starting a band,and musicians were lined up against the wall.isn't Chris your first selection? He is a great pianist,amazing singer(just not THEE best voice),and is,in at least my opinion,the greatest song writer since.........who? Is anyone a better writer than Chris? I'm almost sorry to keep intruding in your love fest,but I only do this with the hope that just once,another intellegent human being will visit this thread and will dispose of you guys,since I know MY opinion really isn't valued. Yes,I love Coldplay,but think Will is NOT a good drummer....at all! And I never said Coldplay was a one-man show,though Chris is infinitely more signifigant. And yeah,he may say it's a team or group effort,like I believe someone said,but they can be average,and the group's sounds will still work,but if Chris isn't amazing,what are they? And besides,what group member of ANY group would say," It's all because of me"? It's common sense to bring your fellow teammates up. And yes,Will is famous and I am not,but what does that prove? Fame only means you are in the spotlight; doesn't indicate talent. Using your feeble logic,Tony Royster Jr. is inferior to Will's drumming,since,after all,he is no where near as famous as the superbly talented Will Champion-who you love completely irrationally. How famous was Will,or any of the band members,in their late teens? Answer that,and maybe you won't impulsively say stuff next time. And Will is famous because he plays in a band with good guitarist and the most amazing frontman to ever walk the planet. His drumming is slow,but he stays in rhythm,while everyone does more than an average job. We praise him for being apart of a team effort where he is clearly the least talented at his instrument-and certainly not even GREAT(to say the least). Why? Coldplay makes Will-Chris makes Coldplay. I'm sorry,but he does. Anyone who says," It's a group effort" is kidding themselves. Deep down you know what really makes Coldplay phenomanol: it's Chris Martin. Saying:"It's a team effort" about Coldplay may make you feel apart of the heavy emotion-induced fanbase,but I'd rather be realistic and view things how they really are,whether or not I'm in the minority,whether I'm the devil's advocate,or whether it's just simply unpopular opinion. Get real: Chris Martin plays more of a role in their succes than probably the other members combined. If you guys could compart mentalize,or simply put down the estrogen pills,you would see how amazing Will is. Once again: take your Iq;put it to the right,and take your emotion and put it to the left:everything is clear!

I still can't believe they weren't even NOMINATED for album of the year. Rush of Blood to the Head was seriously a complete masterpiece. Also The Scientist was better than Clocks,and the video kicked major butt too. It shows how credible the grammy selection commitee is

I do;and Coldplay sounds pretty darn amazing on the radio. It helps that they are rarely played where I live,but I get goosebumps hearing their songs being played on the radio,when I normally wouldn't when listening to their cd. Speaking of which(sort of):did "A Message" come out on radio?I heard it once,and it suprised me.

Get a life,huh? You have more of one doing what? Yes I can sing as well as I normally can when not drumming,when playing moderately fast. Umm...any percussion instrument,the piano pretty well,learning trumpet,and teaching myself guitar. I'll give him a small break since the drums aren't his first instrument.But seriously,if you have any rhythm at all,the drums should be cake to you. The drums are seriously like the easiest instrument in the world to play,but he makes it look difficult with his speed. Nothing personal against Will,just.....what's to be absolutely fascinated about with him? Chris is like the most amazing musical artist,when it comes to playing,writing,and singing(at least my opinion) and the guitarists in Coldplay are pretty darn good as well. Will? Ehh.....just a cute teddy bear who plays in your guys' favortite band

Idk about ya'll,but the thing that impresses me the most about Radiohead is their versatility. To listen to the difference between Pablo Honey and Amnesiac-or even Hail to the Thief-is quite amazing
