I'm not so much trying to get the thread moved anymore as I am waiting for somebody to give me a legitimate answer as to why this thread is relevent. Nobody can because, when you get down to it, this is nothing more than an immature Tiger Beat thread. Obsessed fans are loving that they're suddenly justified in infusing celebrity worship with their band.

Right, read what I said. I'm saying it's MORONIC and really reaching to say "Coldplay named a song after the country of Amsterdam, thus all Amsterdam related discussion is on topic!"

"Tell me your politik" makes some sense. It could be a way of asking "Tell me what you believe, from what angle are you coming from?" What sense does "Tell me you are a politik" mean?

Listen to the music, read about the bands early days, discuss the meanings of songs and lyrics. Buy the merchandise. You know, normal stuff.

Actually, I didn't. If you consider 'Rate the Coldplay song above you', 'Sign the Coldplay DVD petition' and 'The most unlikely Coldplay cover ever!' to be engaging musical discussion, you're even more shallow than I thought.

I have a feeling that it's going to be bad. X&Y was total pop trash (not that pop is bad at all, but compared to the last two albums...). If Coldplay are going truly darker and heavier, good. But heavier compared to X&Y isn't much. And I think the idea of deliberately limiting what instruments you're going to use (ie piano) isn't healthy.
