It`s kind of like to say that it`s not worth hearing other piano compositions than Rachmaninov`s, because everything else is simple compared to him. Great music is sometimes (very often in fact) simple.

Well, I don`t know if you can generalize like that. Music is not an equation and statements like: if you listen to Rihanna => you`re gonna like Viva la vida don`t make much of a sense. VlV is a great song, with great lyrics and melody. Just because you don`t like it doesn`t mean that there is a problem with the ones who do. Obviously it is a matter of taste. Yet, I`m surprised to see that there are some who dislike that song, because everyone I have sent it to, liked it.

I cant believe there are people out there who dont like Viva la Vida. My brother cant stand Coldplay, but he loved the song.

As far as I`m involved in observing the world`s politics I think I have to share my opinion with you. There is no military will of invading Iran neither in USA or in any other country (for exapmple Israel I will explain why). USA has large profits on sucking out the iraqi petrol but in the country itself this war has major social disapproval. Now the people of the United States are fairly aggresive (the most of them) and their opinions on worlds politics vary between "We should invade this or that country" and "We should nuke this or that country". If you look at the statements of Osama you will see his suggestions that violence is legitimate in order to protect "our lands", these are the lands which he considers as muslim lands: Iraq, Egypt, Iran, Afghanistan etc. On the other hand Bush and Blair are saying: "Violence is legitimate in order to protect our lands". The only difference is that when they say "our lands" they mean the whole world. USA stopped caring about international law and treaty obligations a long time ago and started dealing as the world`s policeman- choosing which regimes to overthrow and which not. There are many political and social crimes which have been left aside for example the turkish strategy to use force to get the Kurds out of their lands and homes. There was an exreme aggressiveness during the execution of this strategies but off course many of you have not even heard about it. Why? Minimum of 80% of the turkish weapons come from the USA and if you check their armed forces you will see what I`m talking about. Turkey doesn`t have a strong economy but it does have several hundreds of F-16s, F-4 Terminator, C-275 and now they are buying new attack helicopter. With all this said you are wondering what is my point. My point to give you a very basic picture of how the world functions nowadays. But why isn`t it possible to invade Iran? First of all of economic reasons- the US Goverment will hardly approve next operation in the next 2-3 years. Many generals stated at the end of 2006 that if there is a new operation this time against Iran they will withdraw from the army. After that comes the question about the power of Iran. Iran is may be the leading country of the region (Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon EXCLUDING Israel) and the losses of US military will be even more greater than these in Iraq. The population is very sensitive to new losses since this is one of the prime themes on the social agenda in the USA. Their population (as well as any other for example Adolf Hitler got the most public approval rate in history of Germany until Germany conquered land after land and it declined not so significantly afterwards) is happy as far as nobody talks about US soldiers killed, about US vehicals destroyed off coure except when the numbers are insignifficant. BUT these numbers will be greater than the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Now it is a pattern that each US president starts at least one war (Bush- Clinton- Bush) during his presidentcy. I think that if the invasion occurs it will happen not sooner than 2010. Israel is not capable of air strike just because their jets F-15I and F-16 do not have that range to fly over several hostile countries whole Iraq and than strike Iran. If there is some action it will be handled by MOSAD. As some of you know may be GWBush ordered the CIA to take care of operation which purpose is to take out the iranian goverment by using propaganda, desinformation etc. This just prooves that USA will not invade Iran during the presidentcy of GWBush. Personally I`m not an admirer of any political regimes or ideas I`m just an observer. In my post there are some quotes by Noam Chomsky.

Just a few facts: 1. Osama Bin Laden was cooperating CIA and actually was working for the agency recieving money from USA to fight the soviets. This is not even a public secret. 2. USA supported and finansed the taliban regime in the war aginst USSR. 3. In no means the USA recognised the talibans as terrorists during the war with the soviets, they recognised them as freedom fighters. 4. There were many ways of overthrowing the taliban regime and all of them were dismissed completely by the US goverment. One of the suggestions was: Overthrowing talibans by raising the afghans. 5. The war in Afghanistan exposed to starvation 50% more people than prior to the invasion. 6. The Top 3 countries on the Poorest Countries List were all invaded at some point from the USA.

In my opinion the game is not decided down to the personal matchups and especially the last couple of years. When you look at the individual list on SAs roster you see players that would probably never be so popular and may be they wouldn`t be in the NBA at all weren`t they playing for SA but they are part of one team with a great couch and they are doing their part even though they may not have the talent of AI or Kobe or one of the superstars. The one exception is Tim Duncan around whom this team is build. They don`t have a guy that can give you 30 points every game but as I said their players are sunchronised with the team`s way of play and that`s the reason for their success. About game 5... we will never know but San Antonio is capable of winning against PHX even with Amare on the starting list so...

Amare did play in game 6 and the result was the same! Plus, Spurs were the better team in the series they lost two games and one of them (the loss in San Antionio) they could`ve won it but let the Suns make huge run at the end. Except that Horry is arguably one of the better 6th man in the NBA and he was suspended for 2 games.

@Gitta Rensolo I wasn`t talking about your statement at all... I`m even sorry that I wrote in this thread. All the ppl who were writing here are some Germans who don`t like the fact that Germany is not the music leader of Europe. Of course it is hard to accept that the eastern folklore is much more interesting and much older and hard to perform ( there are very few ppl who can sing the bulgarian song the way this girl did) than the western. It is a whole new dimension of music (the eastern folklore) it is a music that can make you laugh and cry at the same time. It is! The songs need to be "new" so that they can apply for this contest. If there were no pop-rythms in bulgarian song noone could`ve been able to understand it accept the bulgarians. I read that there is nowhere in Serbia that the next Eurovision can take place. I suggest that you go and visit Belgrade before making such a statement. The germans need to figure out new concepts of other nations and other countries and cultures cause the ones they have are irrelevant and subjective.

Guys, stop complaining about it! Germany`s music pop culture is crap. The Eurovision is a folklore contest and such type of songs are more tolerated than pseudo-pop performances. On the other hand the folklore of Germany are Tyroll-songs which are so funny that they may be successful only in a comedy show.

How many bands have you listened to? I`m sure that as an expert you are quite familiar with east european music so you can explain to me some facts if you are kind enough.... You are right, I missread your post and I`m sorry, may be you don`t need a geography lesson. The reason why I wrote it with capital letters is because 9 out of 10 germans and westerners don`t have any idea about where the eastern countries are not to mension that they don`t give a .......... Anyway it has nothing to do with you and I am sorry. Poland, Hungary and others were all part of Germany at some point. If it was the Eurovision only... OK, Eurovison may be is a matter of political choise (I don`t believe it) but all the other occasions that are matter of politic let me tell you who is the loser there- the east. This is the only place the east has a dominance and you all guys start complaining about it....

It will be the same if I say that Austria and Switzerland are voting for Germany. FIRST: CYPRUS IS NOT ON THE BALKANS!!! LOOK AT THE MAP, EUROPE IS NOT JUST FEW WEST EUROPEAN COUNTRIES!!!!
