OMG the show was fucking awesome! I met James and Pat before the show. They were having a beer at the Hard Rock next door to the venue and were nice enough to stop and say hello to us while we were in line.

They were actually rather good. Better than when I saw them at ACL 2 years ago. OPener was some lovely bloke from Africa that no one understood a word he said but we all clapped and danced along. He kept trying to get us to sing with him. Uhhhh we don't know your songs or even WTF you are saying. :lol: second opener was Beach House. VW played about 1:15 and since most of their songs are pretty short and they only have 2 records, they played most of their catalog.

*Puts on dancing shoes. LCD tomorrow night. :dance:

My first LP I bought was The Beatles- Sgt. Pepper which I believe cost $4.95 in 1968. My last CD was Arcade Fire- The Suburbs.

Did you go out to your car and get the tire iron and come back in and beat them to death? I would have.

Edit* First show was Grand Old Opry with my family on vacation in 1968 but can't remember who was there. First Real Concert: Led Zeppelin March 1, 1975 in New Orleans, my brother took me. First time I saw people smoking dope. I'm pretty sure I got a contact high. :laugh3: (That's right kids, I've been going to concerts longer than you all have been alive! :P ) First Concert I paid for myself: KISS in Lake Charles, Louisiana on Dec 6, 1979. My accounting teacher asked me if I was a Satan worshiper because everyone knows KISS stands for Kings in Satan's Service. I told her yes and she almost fainted. :lol: Three classes later when I got to my drafting class, my friend had written "Hail Satan" on my drafting table. Last Concert: Kings of Leon Sept. 23, 2010 first row baby! (as Christa would say :P ) Next concert: Vampire Weekend Oct. 7, 2010 (Rudy will be jealous :smug: )

Show was good. I went to Houston the night before. Caleb's voice was almost gone by end of Dallas show. They did not allow any video. They had secuirty swarm anyone taking video. Their huge security dude was walking the PIT stopping anyone taking vids and in Houston they had tons of secuirty people doing the same. I did take a few non Caleb pics :uhoh: but not many :P

He threw me his sweat rag at the end of the show and some jerk behind me jumped on my back and elbowed me in the head and took it. The security guard came to see if I was OK because he saw that I got hit pretty hard. Then he tried to find the jerk to get it back for me but he was gone.
